March 3, 2017 - Participants of the AFC Futsal Coaching Course Certificate (Level 1) received heaps of praises from their instructors Hossein Shams on the final day of the course on Friday.
At the closing ceremony of the course, AFC Instructors Hossein Shams, who has won five Asian Futsal Championship titles with IR Iran, spoke highly of the participating coaches of course saying that this was one of the ‘best coaching courses’ he had conducted.
Sharing his coaching experiences in other parts of Asia, Shams said that Nepali coaches were better than the ones he trained in South East Asia.
“Frankly speaking, I am very impressed with the participating coaches of this course. I can say that they are better than the ones I had trained in South East Asia and many other Asian countries. These coaches have the potentials to go a distance in coaching,” added Shams, recipient of the Best National Team Coach of the World in 2009.
Highlighting the popularity of futsal in Nepal, Shams also offered to give expert advices for free to the newly formed futsal committee under the chairmanship of ANFA Ex. Co member Ramesh Rayamajhi.
Chief Guest of the program, ANFA President Narendra Shrestha, announced that ANFA would be organizing a futsal league in the near future to form a national team.
“ We have not finalized on the number of teams, but we will hold a futsal league with about 16 teams this year. So all of you have completed this course will be engaged with a team. I would also like to request the instructor to recommend ANFA level II coaching course,” he said.
This is the first ever futsal coaching course organized by Nepal.
