Mar 8, 2017 - All Nepal Football Association bade farewell to the Nepal U-15 National Team travelling to Sri Lanka for the SFT South Asia - Japan U16 Football Exchange Programme amid a programme organized at ANFA Complex on Wedenesday.
ANFA President Narendra Shrestha, ANFA Acting General Secretary Sanjib Mishra, ANFA CEO Indraman Tuladhar and other ANFA Officials were present in the programme. AFC's Development Officer Yogesh Desai and AFC’s League Management Expert Consultant Troy McColl were also present in the programme. The team comprising of 18 players and 6 officials is led by Team Manager Madhusudan Upadhyay. Sunil Kr. Shrestha is the head coach of the team while Prithivi Chaudhary will captain the team. Sanoj Shrestha and Nabin Maharjan will act as the development coaches while Physiotherapist Raju Dahal will also travel with the team. Technical Director Chiaki Takeda is also part of the delegation.
President Narendra Shrestha wished the team best of luck and asked the team to deliver all their training work in the field. “This is an opportunity for all the team to showcase your talent, and at the same time I want you to learn from there. This is a great chance for you to learn how other team plays. I am hopeful of a good performance from the team,” added Shrestha.
The team is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka on 9th March, the same day the team leaves from Nepal.
Nepal will take on Bhutan U-16 on 11th March, Japan U-15 on 12th March and hosts Sri Lanka U-16 on 14th of March. The team will return on 15th March.
