AFC League Development experts holds meeting clubs

March 8, 2017 – The AFC’s League Development Expert Pool held a meeting with the representative of the A Division Clubs at the ANFA Complex on Wednesday.

The two-member AFC delegation – AFC Development Officer Yogesh Desai and AFC’s League Management Expert Consultant Troy McColl – briefed the club representatives the tentative league calendar that they drafted after consultations with ANFA officials.

All the club representatives expressed their satisfaction on the new format of the league that has most of the matches on weekends to give proper rest to the players after each match. The expert advice is sought to make the league enjoyable with fan following and competitive than the previous years.

However, a definite shape is yet to be given to the new format.  

The League Development Program falls in the ANFA Strategic Planning that was approved by the AFC.
