Nepal, Malaysia to play two friendlies

May 13, 2017 - The Nepal National Women’s team will be playing two friendly matches against Malaysia, the Football Association of Malaysia confirmed on Friday.

Earlier, only one friendly was scheduled for May 23, but a request from the All Nepal Football Association for two friendlies was accepted by Malaysia.

The first match will be on May 22, while the second match has been scheduled for May 24. Both the matches will be held at Stadium Likas in Kota Kinabalu.

Nepal had defeated Malaysia 1-0 in Kathmandu last December.

Nepal head coach Kumar Thapa has stepped up the preparation for the friendly. The team has been bolstered by the return of Sabitra Bhandari and Anita Basnet who were in Maldives to play an international level futsal tournament.
