Necessary preparations complete

MEDIA RELEASE: July 5, 2017 - All the necessary preparations for Nepal U-23 team’s friendly match against Bangladesh U-23 scheduled to be held at the ANFA Complex on July 11 (Kickoff 3 PM )have been completed.

The friendly match will be aiding both the teams in their preparations for the AFC U-23 Qualifiers.

In the qualifiers, Nepal, who are in Group D, have their first match against host UAE on July 15 followed by matches against Uzbekistan on July 17 and Lebanon on July 19. All the matches are set to be played at the Tahnon Bin Mohamed Stadium in Al Ain City.

Likewise, Bangladesh is in Group E with Jordan, Tajikistan and Palestine.

Senior coach Raju Kaji Shakya, who is the also the assistant coach of the senior National Team, has been training the Nepali team since June 16. Shakya is aided by Mrigendra Mishra (GK Coach), Prakash Aryal (Assistant coach) and Sanjib Mishra (Manager) in the team.

Of the 28 players currently in the training, Shakya will be finalizing 23 players for the match against Bangladesh. The final squad for qualifiers, however, may alter.

The Bangladesh team will be arriving to Kathmandu on July 9 with a 30 member delegation, including 23 players. ANFA will be bearing the entire cost (food and accommodation) of the delegation during their stay here. The team will be accommodated at Manang Hotel in Thamel.

 For the match, ANFA will be selling 1400 tickets, including 1200 in the general parapet and 200 in the VIP parapet. In the general parapet, the price of a ticket has been fixed for Rs. 500 each, while a single ticket in the VIP parapet will cost Rs. 1,000.

ANFA’s ticketing partner e-Sewa will be selling the tickets from its website http://football.esewa.com.np/ and outlets that have e-Sewa services throughout the country. The tickets are set to go on sale from Thursday afternoon at 3 PM.
