Nepal U-23 leaving for UAE on Thursday

July 12, 2017 – The All Nepal Football Association bade farewell to the Nepal U-23 team that is leaving for UAE on Thursday to compete in the AFC U-23 Qualifiers scheduled to be held in UAE from July 15- 19.

At the farewell program organized at the ANFA Complex on Wednesday, ANFA President Narendra Shrestha and National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Bista spoke about the strength of the team and the challenges that they will be facing in UAE.

“ We know the quality of your play. All of you have made us proud on several occasions and I am confident that you will perform your best in UAE,” said Shrestha.

“ While watching yesterday’s match against Bangladesh, I knew from the very start that Nepal would win the match. The team’s performance over the years has given us a sense of hope whenever Nepal is playing against a foreign country,” said Bista.

Nepal will be playing their first match of the qualifiers against UAE on July 15, against Uzbekistan on July 17 and against Lebanon on July 19.
