It was YEASIN ARAFAT earlier in the last minute of the first half who scored team’s second goal to extend the interval margin at 3-0.

The mood lurched one way as Bangladesh were awarded a penalty in the 77th minute as RAJAPAKSHA pulled YEASIN ARAFAT inside the box. Overjoyed FAHIM-who stepped into the chance made no mistake as to seal the victory.

Fluffed clearance, poor touches and misjudged passings were all published by Sri Lanka side.

Commenting about the match, Bangladesh U-15 head coach MOSTOFA ANOWAR PARVEZ said,” Sri Lanka weren’t in an attacking mind. Our boys were hungry; we could have scored more but squandered other chances.”

Meanwhile Sri Lankan coach SUZUKI CHIKASHI said that his team was more concentrated on defense though they fared badly in it.

“As we will be playing the AFC qualifiers soon we wanted to strengthen our defense as we would be against tougher opponents. Despite the heavy defeat I am satisfied with the team's performance as we had very little time to prepare," he added.

The championship was inaugurated by newly elected Minister for Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC.
