India humble Maldives

Aug 19, 2017 - RAVI BAHADUR RANA struck the fastest hat-trick as India U-15 drubbed Maldives U-15 9-0 in the ongoing SAFF U-15 Championship that is being held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

RAVI BAHADUR RANA bagged his first of the game in the 21st minute, added a second capitalizing the poor defending of the opponents in the 26th minute and had his final say in the 48th minute.

MOIRANGTHEM THOIBA SINGH, RICKY JOHN SHABONG, VIKRAM PRATAP SINGH and LALROIMA got their name in the score sheet in 41st, 57th, 71st and 80th minutes respectively.

Maldivian defender MOHAMED FAIHAAN IMRAN added more misery to the already hapless team scoring two own goals in the 22nd and 87 minute.

Speaking in the post match conference Maldives coach MOHAMED SHAAZLY said,” I appreciate my boys for not giving up. They fought till the last minute despite failing in the scene.”

“The result says we were superior but I still see some drawbacks in team and we need to improve them before the second match,” said India coach BIBIANO FERNANDES.
