September 29, 2016 - The ANFA disciplinary committee’s meeting held on Thursday, regarding the case of the violent activities that took place on the pitch after the match between Sri Kumar Club and New Road Team in the Sahid Smarak B Division League, has taken a decision as per ANFA Statute 52(2) and tournament regulation 20 (5) to suspend Shree Kumari Club and the three other officials of the club for two years from all football related activities, events, programs and matches organized by the All Nepal Football Association effective from Thursday (September 29, 2016).
After the completion of the match (Match No. 75) held at the ANFA Complex on Tuesday, officials of Shree Kumari Club had invaded the pitch and manhandled match referee Sudish Pandey and assistant referee Padam Bhuejl.
The live footage of the match, referee assessor’s report and the match commissioner’s report ruled that Anup Adhikari (Club Manager), Nakul Hamal Thakuri (Club President), Rabi Khadka (official), Santosh Bista and an unidentified supporter of club had beaten the two match officials and also shouted slogans that were against the spirit of sportsmanship.
The meeting has further decided to fine Rs. 50,000 to the club and prohibit the club from further competing in the remaining matches of the Sahid Smarak B Division League.
