Three Star and Manang Manang Marshyangdi play out 2-2 draw

Anjan Bista and Lal Rammavra scored two goals each as Manang Marshyangdi Club and Three Star Club played 2-2 draw in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League at Dashrath Stadium on Saturday. TSC took the lead at the first half with a goal by Lal Rammavra at 19th minute. Lal Rammavra's shot from a freekick from left just outside the box hit the crossbar and went into the top left corner of the post. MMC equalized with Anjan Bista's goal at the 49th minute when they were given a penalty kick for a bad tackle by TSC's Ashok Khawash inside the box. Bista got second at 69th minute with a header for a ball from Kamal Shrestha's freekick that hit the right bar and went into the post giving them the lead. TSC ruled out MMC's lead at 83rd minute when Lal Rammavra scored a rebound goal after keeper saved Ananta Tamang's header. Kelme Man of the match award is given to MMC's Anjan Bista of his overall performance in the game.

Machhindra's undefeated run comes to an end with Himalayan Sherpa registering a win

Himalayan Sherpa Club recorded their first victory of the season with a 2-0 success against Machhindra Club in the first match of seventh round of ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League at ANFA complex, Satdobato on Friday.

The game in the cold rainy afternoon started with probably the fastest goal of the season. HSC took the lead in the first minute with an own goal by MC's defender Peter Segun. Segun tried to clear the ball with a header but the ball went into the bottom right corner of the post. HSC extended their lead with a goal again at 20th minute. Bijay Shrestha headed in the ball from Niraj Basnet's free kick into the left side of the post. Second half of the game gave MC fair amount of chances to score but luck was just not by their side. MC had two shots at 67th minute but HSC keeper Kishor Giri saved both the shots from MC's Abhishek Rijal and Rejin Subba.

Goal Scorer Bijay Shrestha of HSC was awarded the Kelme Man of the Match award for his brilliant header goal and overall performance in the game.

The venue of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2076, Match no. 44, Jawalakhel Youth Club vs Nepal Police Club has been shifted the ANFA Complex, Satdobato from Dashrath Stadium due to heavy rain in the capital.

Meanwhile, the remaining matches of the ongoing league will be played as per the schedule released earlier.

Chyasal Youth Club play out a goalless draw with Nepal APF Mahindra Football Team

Match between Chyasal Youth Club and Nepal APF Mahindra Football Team ended in a stalemate with a score 0-0 in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League at Dashrath Stadium on Monday.

In first half, keepers from both teams showed a very good play with both saving shots from good positions. Teams played well in the match with similar shot attempts. CYC's captain Santosh Shahukhala had a golden chance in the 72nd minute from the center of the box but could not give a right amount of power to the ball for a goal. CYC's keeper Alan Neupane also played well with many vital saves.

APF's Rajan Gurung was given the Kelme Man of the Match award for the match.

New Road Team clinch a win against Nepal Police Club

New Road Team won their sixth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League after beating Nepal Police Club 1-0.

The only goal of the game came from NRT’s Darshan Gurung at 76th minute of the game. Gurung scored from the center of the box on Pajesh Pariyar’s top class through ball inside the box from the right side of the pitch.

The first half didn’t offer much of an attacking display as both of the teams failed to create good chances. In 49th minute, NRT defender Arik Bista denied NPC’s attempt with a goal line clearance. Rajesh Pariyar(NRT), who came off from the bench, provided excellent through ball to Darshan Gurung who converted the beautiful goal. Anjan Rai(NPC) had a chance to get their team back in he game at injury time but his well structkshot from outside the box hit the top edge of the cross bar. Both the teams could pull out no further goal and the match ended 1-0 in favor of NRT.

NRT midfielder Arik Bista won Kelme Man of the Match award for his contribution in the win.

Brigade Boys Club and Saraswoti Youth Club share a point after a goal less drawin the sixth round of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League at Dashrath Stadium on Sunday.

SYC's Susan Lama gets booked in the 39th minute for his dangerous tackle on BBC's Bijay Gurung. SYC got a golden chance in 80th minute to take a lead when Tirtha Bahadur Basnet was in a very good position inside the box in front of the goalpost. But Basnet blew the chance with a overpowered shot that went straight over the post.

SYC's midfielder Manish Thapa was awarded the Kelme Man of the Match award for his great performance.

Wagner De Carmo's only goal helps Friends Club beat Three Star Club 1 - 0

NIBL Friends Club Kupondole registers their first win as they defeat Ruslan Three Star club by a goal to nil. NIBL Friends Club took an early lead with Wagner De Carmo’s goal in the 13th minute of the game. Both teams were playing the attacking game throughout the first half; TSC to level up the score and FC to increase the lead. TSC keeper Priso made multiple saves to keep TSC in the game. Similarly, Dev Limbu made brilliant saves to maintain FC’s lead. Friends Club's manager and team coach were shown a yellow card for a disciplinary issue. The second half was no different from the first half as both the teams continued their attacking play. Although TSC dominated the possession in both the halves, FC were the ones with more attempts on goal. TSC put attacking pressure at the end of the second half but FC defense and keeper stood their ground. The game ended with Wagner De Carmo’s only goal separating the two teams. Wagner De Carmo was awarded the Man of the Match award for his performance.

HSC got many chances throughout the game but their poor finishing just could not help them to get the ball into the net. MMC were 10 men fown in the 73rd minute after Suraj Bishwokarma was shown red card for a dangerous foul on Stephene Samir of HSC.

Machhindra Club thrash Jawlakhel Youth Club to climb to the first position

Bishal Rai's first-half strike gave Machhindra Football Club (MFC) victory over Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) to lift them up to first place in the ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial League 2076.

On the 31st minutes of the game, Bishal Rai came up with a wonderful long range right-footed shot to help MFC grab 3 important points. JYC, on the other hand, created couple of good chances but  were not able to make a good ball coversion. Despite the ban for 3 players from MFC, they showed a great team dedication and hardwork for whole 90 minutes.

Tribhuwan Army Club climbs to the top of the table with a 1-0 win against Saraswoti Youth Club in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorail 'A' Division league at Dasrath Stadium on Thursday.

The only goal of the match was scored by TAC's George Prince Karki at 30th minute. Dinesh Hemjung's cross to inside of box from a well distributed play gave a clear chance to Karki for a goal. MMC-Machhindra brawl leads to six players being suspended

Manang Marshyandi Club's Jagajeet Shrestha and Ashok Baral has been suspended for 5 games, Ranjan Bista for two and Machhindra Club's Dipak Rai, Devendra Tamang and Bijay Dhimal for two matches after a furious brawl between Manang Marshyandi Club and Machhindra Club in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2076.

Jagajeet and Ashok has also been fined with Rs. 10, 000 each.

The ANFA disciplinary Committee issued the suspension Thursday, three days after the incident at the Dashrath Stadium.

Kits Manager of Manang Marshyandi Club, Shiva Lama is suspended for all the remaining matches of the league. Lama is also fined with Rs. 10, 000.

Both of the clubs are also fined with Rs. 50, 000 each for failing to maintain discipline in the team bench.

Chyasal Youth Club come from behind to get a point against Nepal Police Club.

Santosh Sahukhala's two-goal earned Chyasal Youth Club a point as they twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Nepal Police Club in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division league at Dasarath Stadium on Wednesday. Nir Kumar Rai's early goal in the 5th minute gave NPC an advantage against CYC. Rai shot a wonderful flying volley into the post, leaving CYC goalie speechless. Later CYC captain Santosh Sahukhala equalized at the 18th minute with his 100th 'A' Division League goal. A free-kick from Hemant Thapa was saved by the keeper but Santhosh was there for the rebound. NPC gained back the lead again at the 40th minute when Suman Lama's venomous strike went into the goal in the top right corner.

CYC equalized in the second half with Santosh Sahukhata's second goal of the match at 49th minute. This goal was also assisted by Hemant Thapa. Santosh Sahukhala of CYC was awarded the Kelme man of the match award for the two goals and his overall performance in the match.

Sahukhala was also congratulated at the end with a bouquet for 100th Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League goal.

Three Star Club victorious over Brigade Boys Club

Goals from Sushan Shrestha, Ananta Tamang and Waisu Hazmat earned Three Star Club a 3-1 victory against Brigade Boys Club in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League at Dasarath Stadium on Wednesday.

Sushant Shrestha's opening goal at 15th minute for TSC was a wonderfully placed goal from inside the penalty area. TSC doubled the lead at 41st minute after Ananta Tamang's header from inside the box on Mikchen Tamang's corner kick went straight into the post. Third and the final goal for TSC was by Wasiu Hazmat who chiped the ball over BBC keeper Bishal Sunar to get a goal.

Though BBC were 10 men down after a red card was given to Dipenk Raj Singh for a terrible challenge on Ashok Khawas of TSC, they came back with a goal at the end. The goal for BBC was by Roshal Rana Magar to a beautiful through ball by Uttam Gurung.

Kelme Man of the match was awarded to the TSC defender Ananta Tamang for his wonderful goal and the overall performance in the game.

Friends Club and Himalayan Sherpa Club played a goalless draw at Dasrath Stadium in the fifth round of ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League on Tuesday.

The match was a slow game with both teams unable to hold their possession. Friends Club had a chance in 43rd minute when Uttam Rai missed a clear shot from front of the post inside the penalty area. His shot went right over the crossbar. Himalayan Sherpa Club missed the chance to get a late winner when a pass from Tredev Gurung found Bhison Gurung just in the penalty spot. But Bhison's volley went over the post.

Late equalizer from Bimal Rana helps Manag Marshyangdi Club hold Macchindra Club to 2-2 draw

Manang Marshyangdi Club and Machindra Club had to share a point in a 2-2 draw game in the ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League at Dasarath Stadium on Monday.

The thrilling match ended with a clash between the players. MC were surprised with an early goal by MMC in the 2nd minute. MMC forward Femi Joshua Adewumi headed in an accurate cross from Anjan Shretha giving them the early lead. Though MC played well, they could not score a goal and so were behind one goal in the first half. Second half started identical to the first but this time MC scoring at the 46th minute. The equalizer came from Sujal Shrestha who calmly scored a goal to a nice pass from Somide Oluwawunmi.

But then MC took the lead at 81st minute after a blunder by MMC defence. The goal was a header by Somide Oluwawunmi. But the lead was shortlived when MMC equalized two minutes before the regulation time. Bimal Rana converted the left corner taken by Jagjeet Shrestha into the the net to cheer up the MMC fans in the stadium.

The match had a bad end to it when team members from both the team clashed. Security officials and policemen had to come into the field to sort the mess. The staduim was in turmoil. Referee took charge and gave the bench player Ashok Baral red card for the mess that was created.

Kelme Man of the match award for this game was presented to Somide Oluwawunmi of MC for his goal as well as his overall performance in the match.

Both teams tried their best to score a goal. They both had equal possession of the ball. Rup Bahadir Lama of JYC had a chance to score at 30th minute but his right footed shot to the left bottom corner was saved by the NRT keeper, Ajit Prajapati. In the second half, NRT had a really good chance to score a goal from a freekick at 73rd minute.Captain Prakash Budhathoki took the freekick that was barely saved by JYC keeper Takendra Thapa. Thapa could not get hold of the ball so Jordan Jr Ndemba Owona (NRT) tried for a rebound but was caught offside. Armed Police Force Football Club clinch victory over Saraswoti Youth Club

Ashish Lama clinches crucial 3 points for Nepal Armed Police Force Club (APF) against Saraswati Youth Club(SYC) with the scoreline 2-1 in Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League on Thursday at ANFA complex, Satdobato.

First half ended goal less even though the teams had many chances to score. Second half went better for APF when substitute player Ashish Lama scored a beautiful one touch right footed goal to a pass from his teammate Prabin Kumar Shrestha from left side of the box at 63rd minute. The lead of APF was extended again by Ashish Lama at the additional minute. Shot from right inside the box went straight under the keeper and into the post. But SYC didn't go home goalless, they scored one goal right after the second goal of APF in the additional time. Binod KC (SYC) scored a consolation goal in the final minute of the game.

APF goalkeeper Amrit Kumar Chaudhary was given the Kelme Man of the Match award for his overall performance in the match.

Tribhuwan Army Club move to third place with 2-0 win against Three Star Club

Tribhuwan Army Club(TAC) bags a two goals win against Three Star Club(TSC) with the final score 2-0 in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League on Thurday at ANFA complex, Satdobato.

Both the teams looked strong at the beginning of the game with many shot attempts. First half was a stalemate with both team trying there best to take a lead. The stalemate was broken in second half after a splendid goal by Nawayug Shrestha for TAC at 54th minute. A cross from the team captain Bharat Khawas inside the box to which Nawayug volleyed into the goal. Goalscorer Nawayug was later shown a yellow card for his celebration as he took off his shirt. The lead was extended by TAC at 79th minute through a freekick goal by Santosh Tamang. A foul by Ashok Khawas of TSC gave TAC the freekick. Santosh took the freekick from the left wing position to gracefully score the ball into the top right corner of the post.

TSC had a chance to decrease the gap at the end of the match when a handball by Bikash Tamang (TAC) inside the box gave them a penalty. But Rupesh KC of TSC ,who took the penalty, could not utilize this chance to their benefit as it was saved by the TAC keeper Bikesh Kuthu. Santosh Tamang of TAC was awarded the Kelme Man of the match for his overall performance in the match.

Brigade Boys Club colored their 100th “A “ division match with a sweet victory against Himalayan Sherpa Club. Brigade Boys accomplished the landmark after their fourth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League 2019/20.

Machhindra Club defeated New Road Team with Somide’s late winner

Machhindra Club stunned New Road Team as Somide Adelaja grabbed late winner in the fourth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League. Somide converted a wonderful header from close range in Bijay Dhimal’s searching long cross from right.

Machhindra took control of the ball possession and created numbers of good chances throughout the game. Bishal Rai missed a good heading chance from the center of the box at 31st minute. TSC started the game with back to back attacking play opening up the APF defense. Ananta Tamang opened up the score for TSC in the 15th minute of the game by a headed goal from Dipesh Ghales’ brilliant pass from a freekick. TSC looked to further increase their lead the first half by creating many chances. APF’s defensive errors further paved the way for TSC to take the lead. The game opened up for APF in the second half as they created more attacking chances with back to back attempts on goal but could not get a goal. Nepal Police Club (NPC) registered their first win of the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial "A" Division League season as they went on to defeat Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) 2-0 at the Dasarath Stadium on Friday.

NPC were 10 men down after Anjan Rai was sent off the field for getting booked twice for bad foul at the end of first half. But they quickly gained lead with a goal by Suman Lama at 46th minute. Ravi Paswan took advantage of SYC defending blunder to provide a brilliant assist to Lama. Second goal for NPC at 79th minute was a beautiful flick by the substitute Bhola Nath Silwal to Suman Lama's pass that went just over the SYC goalkeeper, Pradip Bhandari.

Tribhuwan Army Club victorious over Himalayan Sherpa Club

Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) protected 3 points against struggling Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC) on ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's A Division League on Friday.

TAC's side were able to control both attacking and defending sides calmly.The captain of TAC Bharat Khawas opened up the scoreline on 57th minutes of the game. Later, on 61st minutes Tek Bahadur Budhathoki's right footed shot helped TAC double the score. HSC, though started well, they were not able to make any great chances and attacks. With this win, TAC succeeded to be on 3rd place of the table.

Stalemate as Sankata Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club score a goal each.

Sankata Club(SC) and Jawalakhel Youth Club(JYC) ended in a stalemate with a final score of 1-1 in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial "A" Division League on Thursday.

JYC was in better form at the beginning of the match. Despite the form, SC was the first team to score. A freekick goal by Laxman Ruchal gave them a lead at 36th minute. The first half ended with a score of 1-0 with SC leading.

The second half was comparatively slower but an equalizer goal by Dady Junior Wamba of JYC in the 73rd minute brought back life to the game. The goal by Wamba was a header to a freekick taken by the substitute Hari Khathayat from the same position as the first goal by SC.

Three wins in a row for Manang Marshyangdi Club

Jagjit Shrestha's goal helped defending champions Manang Marshyangdi Club(MMC) grab 3 points against Brigade Boys Club(BBC) on ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A Division League-2076.

Both the teams started off well with similar possession on the ball. BBC created a few chances through crosses inside the box but were unable to convert them into a goal. It was MMC’s Jagjit Shrestha who broke the deadlock at 25th minute with a follow up shot on the rebound ball. MMC's defender Ek Raj Budhhathoki was sent off at 74th minute after a bad foul on Bijay Gurung(BBC). 10 men New Road Team stuns Chyasal Youth Club

10 men New Roat Team(NRT) came victorious over Chyasal Youth Club(CYC) on Wednesday’s match of ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League.

NRT took an early lead in the game at 26th minute with Junior Nikengue’s header on Arik Bista ’s cross. Despite keeping much of ball possession, CYC failed to bounce back. With NRT’s number 10 Jordan Owana  getting red card and sent off, Chyasal boys  on number advantage, showed a great attacking threat. However, CYC conceded another goal on NRT counter with Darshan Gurung’s wonderful solo goal at  86th minute . Amir Shrestha scored a consolation goal for CYC at the closing stages.

Machhindra Club earn comfortable win against Friends Club

Machhindra Club secures 3 points after a comfortable win against Friends Club in Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League.

Machhindra took the lead at Dasrath Stadium with Peter Segun’s header from inside the box at 28th minute. FC keeper Dev Limbu couldn’t judge Segun’s easy header conceding his team a goal. MC doubled the lead at 52nd minute with Adelaja Somide’s powerful right footed shot on Bishal Rai’s flick-on assist. MC kept consisting pressure on FC defense with numbers of good chances. With Rejin Subba scoring the 3rd goal for MC at 85th minute, the game was over for FC.

Machhindra took full control of the game as Friends lads failed to create any influence in the field. The game ended 3-0 in favor of Machhindra. MC midfielder Bishal Rai earned Kelme Man of the Match award for his excellent performance.

Sushil Rai earned Three Star Club a 1-0 win against Nepal Police Club at Dasarath Stadium in the ongoing Qatar Airways A Division League 2076.

TSC took the lead when Sushil latched on to a long pass from his teammate and fired the ball in at 84th minute. NPC's attacking side missed a couple of great chances in the first half. Although the game was full of attacking moves, the players failed to make good strike on target.

Armed Police Force hold Himalayan Sherpa to a 1-1 draw

A goal from Armed Police Force’s  Prabin Kumar Syangtan cancelled out Tridev Gurung’s goal for Himalayan Sherpa as they played 1-1 draw in their Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League clash.

APF started the game on positive note and created better chances. Despite dominating possession, APF couldn’t break the deadlock in the first half. HSC, on the other hand, came up with better composure play later in the first half with Bhison Gurung almost scoring at 38th minute.

HSC bounced back with much better performance in the second half . HSC’s Tridev Gurung converted a corner into a wonderfully placed heading goal early in the second half(48th minute) . However, HSC couldn’t hold the lead longer as Prabin Syangtan’s shot from Ashish Lama’s cross kissed the net at 58th minute bringing APF back in the game. Both the teams had fewer chances later on but none affected the scoreline and the game ended 1-1.

Magar's decisive goal gives Sankata 1-0 win over New Road

Dipesh Ale Magar scored the only goal as Sankata Club defeated New Road Team at Dasaratha Stadium in the Qatar AIrways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League 2019/20.  Taking the advantage of a sloppy  NRT defending , Magar netted the ball from very close range in just  8 minutes of the game. 

The first half saw neck to neck competition between the two , however it ended with Magar’s  8th minute opener. New Road improved after the  break and went close multiple times but Sankata keeper Binaya Shrestha held the lead with wonderful saves.  Sankata offered little as an attacking threat, but with New Road unable to break the deadlock they were able to put some pressure in NRT defense  in the closing  stages.

Daddy Junior Wamba's goal secures three points for JYC as they beat SYC 1 -0.

Jawalakhel Youth Club secures all three points as they beat Saraswati Youth Club by one goal in the ongoing Qatar Martys’ Memorial A Division League 2076. Daddy Junior Wamba opened the score early for JYC in the 11th minute with the assist from Fode Fofana. However, there was no separating the teams in terms of possession in the first half as both enjoyed 50% of the ball.

JYC looked strong with attacking mentality taking on more shots. SYC even though dominated the possession on the second half failed to open up the JYC back four. Daddy Junior Wamba’s only goal separated the two sides. Suraj Jeu Thakuri(JYC) was awarded as Man of The Match for his brilliance.

With this JYC moves to the second position having drawn one and won one game. Saraswoti stays on the bottom of the league with 0 points but behind on goal difference.

Late goals from Jaya Gurung and Roshan Rana Magar award BBC three points.

Brigade Boys Club sealed all three points as they beat Friends Club 2 – 0 in the ongoing Qatar Martyrs’ A Division League. Both the teams started the game strong with attacking play. However, BBC was the team that dominated the possession from the start of the game.

After a goalless yet full of attacking first half the game heated much more in the second half. FC keeper Dev Limbu made wonderful save in the 78th minute to keep them in the game. Great chance but simple misses from both the halves were not helping to break the deadlock.

Jaya Gurung jersey no 19 was able to give BBC the lead in the 87th minute by a shot from inside the penalty box. BBC doubled the lead in the 92nd minute by jersey no 17 Roshan Rana Magar on the counter-attack .

With this win, BBC registers the first three points whereas FC suffers second loss. Jaya Gurung of BBC was awarded the Man of the Match award for his performance.

Stalemate as Chyasal Youth Club and Machhindra Club drew 1-1

In the first match of the second round of ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial “A” Division League, title contender Machhindra Club met evenly matching opponent as they were held to 1-1 draw by Chyasal Youth Club.

Chyasal took the lead in the game at the 27th minute with skipper Santosh Sahukhala’s brace. Sahukhala’s left-footed shot from the left side of the box went right in the top right corner of the post.

Three Star, Jawalakhel plays goalless; Bimal shines as MMC beat APF 2-0

Three Star Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club played out a goalless draw in their first match of the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League clash on Wednesday at the ANFA Complex.

Both sides landed numerous chances to break the deadlock but a goal eluded them.

Likewise, Bimal Rana scored a brace as Manang Marshyandi Club beat Armed Police Force 2-0 in the other match of the day that was held at the Dasrath Stadium.

Rana scored in the 28th and 34th minute to help Manang win.

There is no league matches scheduled tomorrow. On, 20 December Chyasal Youth Club will play Machhindra Club at ANFA Complex at 12:00 PM while Brigade Boys will face Friends Club at Dashrath Stadium at 3:00 PM.

Santosh Shahukhala scored twice to steer Chyasal Youth Club a 2-0 win over Sankata Club while Dinesh Hemjan late goal guided Tribhuwan Army 2-1 victory over Friends Club today in the ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial'A'Division matches held at ANFA Complex and Dasrath Stadium.

JFL U-22 defeat Manang Marshyangdi Club in a friendly match

The Martyrs Memorial League Winner Manang Marshyandi Club faced the Japanese Football League (JFL) Team in a friendly match today at ANFA Complex Satdobato. MMC Lost 3-0 with JFL U-22 Team. The visiting team played two friendly matches here in Kathmandu. JFL won both the matches, the first match 4-0 against the Nepal Blue and the second match 3-0 against MMC.

After the match, MMC Coach, Fuja Tope, said the opponent were stronger than us still we tried to hold in the second half. We still lacked better organization in the field. We will try to improve the mistakes in upcoming league matches. He added "the match was fruitful for the MMC side as we got to learn the negative and positive side of the team just before the league matches start".

Machhindra rolled over Brigade Boys in League opener

Yogesh Gurung and Dipak Rai grabbed a goal each in the half as Machhindra Club rolled over Brigade Boys Club in the inaugural match of the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2019/2020 that got underway today at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

Yogesh Gurung opened the scoring, heading in from a free kick after a well-timed run to the near post in the 30th minute.

Dipak Rai then doubled the lead for Machhindra in the 50th minute. Ranjit Dhimal set up Rai who drove the ball home from the edge of the area.

The league matches scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to next day as league champion Manang Marshyandi Club is set to play Japan League Team in a friendly tomorrow.

The friendly match will be played at the ANFA complex at 3:00 PM.

Applications rejected for AFC License for 2019/20

The applications of all the 14 'A' Division clubs have been rejected for the AFC Club License for this season.

The result was announced after the All Nepal Football Association's Club Licensing Committee meeting with the First Instant Body (FIB) was held on October 25, 2019.

Fourteen 'A' division clubs – Manang Marshyandi Club, Three Star Club, Nepal Police Club, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Sankata Club, Friends Club, Saraswoti Club, Himalayan Sherpa Club, Brigade Boys Club, Armed Police Force, Tribhuwan Army Club, Machhindra Club, New Road Team and Chyasal Youth Club- applied for the AFC Licenses for the season 2019/20.

Since non of the clubs lodged an appeal to the commitee the decision has been sent to AFC after the conclusion of the Core Process Timeline. 

The ANFA is also preparing to implement Club Licensing in National League for next year with the minimum criteria included by the AFC in the Club Licensing Administration (CLAS) System.

Signature MMC topped the table with 36 points suffering just one loss in the final game against Friends Club. CMG Sankata secured the second position with 28 points and Ruslan Three Star Club on the third position with 26 points.ANFA also awarded the following players were awarded for their best performance in the respective fields. Mahindra APF Defeats CMG Sankata Club 2 - 1.

Mahindra Armed Police Club beat CMG Sankata Club 2 - 1 to secure the fifth position in the ongoing Pulsar Martyrs' Memorial A Division League Match held on 7th January 2019. Sankata Club even though dominated the possession in the starting minutes were caught on the counter-attack. The ball cleared by the APF keeper was taken all the way from center line to the goal post by Yubraj Khadka in the 26th minute of the game. Sankata Club put back to back to level the match but APF's disciplined defense stood firm. APF doubled their lead in the 71st minute of the game when Rajan Gurung headed home a brilliant ball from a freekick. Sankata Club was forced to make two substitutions in the game due to injury for Tampi Ernest and Saroj Dahal. Sankata managed to pull one back in the 93rd minute of the game from a brilliant freekick from Laxman Ruchal. Bishwas Udas was awarded the man of the match award.

Ruslan Three Star Beats Himalayan Sherpa To Confirm Third Position

Ruslan Three Star Club(TSC) confirmed the third position on Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2018 with a  2-0 win against Himalayan Sherpa Club (HSC). Buddha Raj Limbu and Ranjan Bista were in the score sheet in Sunday's match held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. From the beginning, HSC looked promising and sharp on attack.  But it was TSC who took the lead at the 28th minute with Budhha Raj Limbu's wonderful placing goal. Ranjan Bista(TSC) assisted an excellent through ball inside HSC box. Limbu made no mistake and placed the shot at the bottom left corner of the goal. TSC, however, struggled to get a good grip in ball possession and attack. HSC side was amazing at opposition half in both the halves of the game. TSC keeper Alan Neupane made numbers of wonderful saves to keep his team ahead. At the 89th minute, Ranjan Bista doubled TSC's lead in a counted initiated by Ranjit Dhimal with a long ball. Bista won one on one against HSC keeper Kishor Giri to net the ball. TSC captan Bikram Lama was awarded man of the match for his contribution in the game.

Ruslan TSC ended up in the third position with 26 points after the 13th round. Pulsar Tribhuwan Army(TAC) stands fourth with 25 points after 3-0 win against Machhindra Club at Armed Police Force Stadium, Halchowk.

The first match of last round of Pulsar Martyr's Memorial ‘A’ Division League between GrandMaster Jawalakhel Youth Club and Valley Chyasal Youth Club ended up in a 1 - 1 draw at APF stadium, Halchowk on 5th January, 2019. The only two goals of the game happened in the first half of the match. First goal came from JYC at 10th minute. The goal was a header goal by Aruj Singh to a cross from a freekick. CYC got a chance to equalize the game at 32nd minute after a foul by Fode Fofana of JYC onto Sunny Byanjankar of CYC inside the box gave them a penalty. Tshiring Gurung of CYC took the penalty kick and scored on the bottom left corner of the post equalizing the game. Second half was a more aggressive half as three players were booked, Ajay Thapa and Suraj Jeu Thakuri of JYC and Koara Larba of CYC. Kuldip Karki of JYC was awarded the man of the match award for his performance in the game.

CMG Sankata Confirms The Second Position After A Win Against Ruslan Three Star

Amit Tamang(SC) scores two from the spot for CMG Sankata(SC) to clinch 2-1 win against Ruslan Three Star Club(TSC) on the match of Wednesday. With the win, CMG Sankata confirms second position on Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2018. The game was held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. Both of the teams entered the field with good spirit to win. TSC took the lead in the game with Ranjan Bista's brace at 30th minute. However, the lead didn't last long as Sunil Bal(TSC) fouled SC's player and gave away penalty at 42nd minute. Amit Tamang(SC) scored from the spot to level the score.  SC won another penalty at 62nd minute after Peter Segun(TSC) committed foul on Soujan Rai(SC) inside the box. It was Amit again to score the second penalty. TSC fought hard to get a goal back but it was not their day and the game ended 2-1 in favor of CMG Sankata.

Chyasal took the lead early in the game when an error made by SYC defence was punished my Sajin Thapa Magar in the 14th minute of the game. Saraswati players desperate to level the score produced back to back attacks but luck did not seem to favour them as they hit the woodwork multiple times. 1st game of 31st December 2018 at ANFA complex,Satdobato was between New Road Team(NRT) and Machhindra Club(MC) in ongoing Pulsar Martyrs Memorial A Division League. The game was full of goals. Vassadia Diamande(16) took the early lead for MC in 3rd minute of the game. Then MC conceded own goal on 8th minute due to serious mistake by keeper Deep Karki which made the score 1-1. Then MC came up with 3 consecutive goals by Bishal Rai(17), Khamir Glisan(10) and Anil Gurung(9). Nepal Police Club Come From Behind To Beat Ruslan Three Star Club by 3 Goals.

Nepal Police Club come from behind to steal three points from Rulsan Three Star Club on 28th December 2018 in the ongoing Pulsar Martyrs' Memorial A Division League held at ANFA Complex. Ruslan Three Star club started the game well with a goal in the 12th minute of the game as Messoumbe Abang Albert headed home a cross from the center line. Nepal Police Club was quick to reponse and punished blunder of TSC defense in the 20th minute.

Bharat Khawas’s Man of the Match performance helps Pulsar Tribhuvan Army Club get another three points in the ongoing Pulsar Marty’s Memorial A Division match held on 28th December 2018. TAC opened up the score in the 6th minute of the game with a brilliant headed goal by Nawayug Shrestha.

Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club Bags The Title With Two Games Remaining

Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club(MMC) are crowned Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A-Division League 2018 champion. Defending champion MMC bagged the title after a 3-1 win over CMG Sankata Club(SC) on 27th Dec, 2018. Its a historic win for MMC as they confirmed the title with their unbeaten streak.

The game today was one of the most awaited match. Both of the teams started off well, however the few minutes before half came lucky for MMC as the ball punched by keeper Raja Babu Thapa(SC) got deflected back to the SC's net.  SC got lucky couple of times as the shot from MMC hit the framework. SC tried their tactics out to get back in the game but newly substituted Pujan Uperkoti's(MMC) header from Bishal Rai's(MMC) corner at 81st minute brought down SC's hope. Six minutes later Uperkoti's goal, SC conceded third goal under pressure. The goal was scored by Adeleja Somide(MMC) with a wonderful header. Cedric Aba scored a late goal for SC on 91st minute but it didn't suffice to get their side back and the game ended 3-1 in favor of MMC. Heman Gurung from MMC won man of the match award for his heroic performance.

In the second match of Wednesday at ANFA Complex Grandmaster Jawlakhel Yourth Club(JYC) clinched 2-1 victory against Machhindra Club(MC). The first half of the game ended goal less as both sides failed to find the net despite getting number of good chances. JYC were awarded with a penalty at 55th minute for Anjan Devkota's(MC) handball inside MC box. JYC went ahead through Aruj Singh's(JYC) goal from the spot. 10 minutes later, Fode Fofana(JYC) doubled the lead with a good stike to Suman Dangol's(JYC) cross. MC tried their best to bounce back but their attacks were not strong enough to break JYC defence line. Himalayan Sherpa Club Victorious Over Brigade Boys Club

The 11th round of ongoing Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A Division League kicked off with a conviencing 4-1 win for Himalayan Sherpa Club(HSC) against Brigade Boys Club(BBC) at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.  BBC looked more promising in the first half of the game. BBC forwards, Abdu Nsiah and Kazeem Busari, missed plenty of good chances. However, the second half went HSC's way.  Goha Patrick Privat(HSC) opened up for HSC at 46th minute with his marvellous right footed shot from very close range. Bhisan Gurung(HSC) doubled the lead at 54th minute with his brace. Unlike first half, BBC boys seemed to lack coordination in the seconf half. Bishwas Shrestha(HSC) scored the third goal for HSC at 61st minute after BBC's defender Ulrich's terrible miss. Later, at 80th minute, Bishwash scored his second goal from Privat's assist. Substitute Bartaman Rai(BBC) scored a consolation goal for BBC at 87th minute but it was not enough for them to get back in the game. The game ended 4-1 in HSC's favor with no players, from both sides, getting booked.  HSC's captain Man Bahadur Gurung was awarded man of the match for his terrific performance.

Saraswati Youth Club secured three points against New Road Team in Martyrs’ Memorial A division league match held on 13th December 2018 at ANFA Complex Satdobato Lalitpur. Both teams lacked attacking game play in the first half with minimum shots on target for both the sides.

Pulsar Tribhuwan Army Club secures another 3 points.

Pulsar Tribhuwan Army Club club managed to secure three points aginst Brigade Boys Club in Pulsar Martys' Memorial A Division league match held on 10th December 2018. Tanka Bahadur Basnet headed home a searching cross from Santosh Tamang in the 66th minute of the game to score the only goal of the match. Brigade Boys Club were much more sharp in the first half of the game creating many chances and putting TACs defense under pressure. However both teams lacked finishing and couldn't break the deadlock.Under pressure, TAC player commited many fouls getting back to back yellow cards. A brawl sparked between TAC's Santosh Tamang and BBC's Abdu Nisah forcing refree to book both the players. Ranjit Dhimal scores twice to secure another 3 points for Ruslan Three Star Club.

Ranjit Dhimal scored twice against Grandmaster Jawalakhel Youth Club to secure another win for Ruslan Three Star Club in Pulsar Martyrs' Memorial League held on 9th December 2018. TSC dominated the posession throughout the game. However, it was in the latter second half that opened up the score. TSC was awarded a penalty in the 52nd minute after Kuldip Karki (JYC) handed the ball in the Dbox area.

 

 

More problem started for JYC when Kuldip Karki was sent off for a push just outside the box in the 69th minute of the game. Ranjit Dhimal converted the freekick to double the score for TSC. The match ended with Ranjit Dhimal winning the Man of the Match award for his brilliant performance. Final score TSC 2-0 JYC. Nepal APF Mahindra Football Team Clinch Victory Over Saraswoti Youth Club

Nepal APF Mahindra Football Team(APF) defeated Saraswoti Youth Club(SYC) on first match of December 9th, 2018 of Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A Division League. The match was held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. Both of the teams started off well. Rup Bahadur Lama opened up the score for APF at 17th minute. Later at 41st minute, Yubraaj Khadka doubled the lead for APF with his excellent shot. SYC created numbers of good chances throughout the game, couple of them hitting the framework, but couldn't score. Rup scored his second at 88th minute and the final score was APF 3-0 SYC. The first match of 6th round of ongoing Pulsar Martyr's Memorial A Division League was held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato. The match was between Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club(MMC) and Saraswoti Youth Club(SYC). MMC looked sharp on attacking from the begining where SYC were equally matching MMC's attack. Todays match of Round 5 in Martyr’s Memorial League between Valley Chyasal  Youth Club and CMG Sankata Club was filled with late drama. The Martyrs Memorial A-Division League Kicks off with a Bang: Tamang steps up to Rescue Tribhuwan Army Club

After a long wait, Nepali Football fans have finally been rewarded with the Brand new Season of Martyr s A-Division League. A total of 14 teams are participating in this year s installment. The league started with a match between New Road Team and Tribhuvan Army Club. The fans were given a treat with a competitive match. It was a swift start, with Rojit Pudasaini scoring the opening goal for NRT within the first 12 minutes. TAC made good attacking moves, but it was equally matched by NRT defense and the keeper. Then Santosh Tamang scored through a penality kick which was awarded for handling the ball inside the penalty box. Both teams went back to the dressing Rroom with the scores level at 1-1. Rajesh Pariyar showed great skills to score his solo goal and gave NRT a 2-1 lead on the 65th minute. NRT keeper Ajit Prajapati made couple of decisive saves to keep NRT s lead intact. TAC finally found the equalizer through an indirect free kick inside the box. Santosh Tamang capitalized on this opportunity to score his second goal of the game and rescued a point for TAC. Ajit Prajapati was awarded Man of the Match for his inspiring performance with his outstanding saves. One more match will be played tomorrow. Saraswati Youth Club will start their campaign with a match against Sankata Club at ANFA Complex.

Inauguration of Martyrs Memorial League

Martyrs Memorial League is back after five years. The first match was played between New Road Team and Tribhuvan Army Club. Prior to the match ANFA hosted opening ceremony in which different celebrities and delegates showed their presence. The opening ceremony was hosted by Sandip Chhetry best known for his TV show what the flop. The program started with panche baja and lakhe dance followed by introduction of 14 teams. Jitu Nepal made the crowd rolling with laughter with his comic performance. Yogeswor Amatya further made the crowd dance with his lovely voice. Today ANFA also introduced their brand new website with refreshed design made by Logispark Technologies. The site was inaugurated by Mr. Jagat Bahadur Sunar. Bigyan Raj Sharma ,President A Davison League Committee, Renaud Meyer country director UNDP and President of ANFA Karma Tshering Sherpa also shared their thoughts about the league.
