All Nepal Football Association and Saathi have jointly launched a campaign to end violence against women and children.
An agreement for the campaign 'Our Collective Goal: Ending Violence against Women and Children' was signed at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Wednesday.
ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and Saathi Chairperson Sajani Amatya signed in the agreement. The agreement will be valid for the next three years.
The two sides have agreed to work in alliance against the violence against women and children. ANFA will help raise awareness against violence against women and children through footballers and various national and regional football competitions.
A banner with slogan against the violence will be displayed before every national and regional football tournaments. ANFA will also place running boards containing such slogans in the different tournament venues.
Saathi, a non-governmental organization established in 1992, has been working to address the different forms of violence and discrimination faced by Nepali women and girls and help create a safe and violence-free society where women and children can live with respect and dignity.
