COVID-19 testing in next few days!

With Nepal national men's team set to start training camp on time this week, the All Nepal Football Association is readying to bring a sense of normalcy back.

The ANFA implemented comprehensive hygienic protocols and step-up measures to curb any potential spread of the Covid-19.

In association with Sundar Dhoka Sathi Sewa, the ANFA today disinfectant the ANFA premises including, ANFA hostel and ANFA office.

The players, coaches and other staffs will begin the COVID-19 testing in next few days.

Nepal will host Chinese Taipei, Australia and Jordan on October 8, October 13 and November 12 respectively.

FIFA President holds meeting with SAFF Presidents

FIFA President Giani Infantino along with the AFC President Sheikh Salman held a virtual meeting with the presidents of South Asian members association today. 

In the meeting, the presidents of the member associations of SAFF region briefed the FIFA President about the current situation of their respective countries resulted by the COVID-19 and the possibilities of resuming football activities.

Both the FIFA President and the AFC President reiterated that health and safety was the key priority and football could rest until and unless the situation returns to normalcy.

The president of the member associations asked for a bigger involvement of FIFA in the tournaments hosted by the SAFF in terms of arranging sponsors.

Bikash Malla picked Nepal's GK Coach

The technical committee in the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) picked Bikash Malla to be the Goalkeeping coach for the Nepal national men's team.

Bikash Malla was considered one of the finest goalkeeper in Nepal during his playing days. Former Army goalie and captain, Malla has served the Nepal national team from 2005 to 2013. He is accrediated by the AFC Level 1 Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate, AFC 'C' Coaching License Certificate and FIFA MA Certificate.  

Malla replaced Japanese Hiro Mitsumaru, who was serving the team as a volunteer from JICA.

Malla will join the national team in coaching for the remaining matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022/ AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2.

ANFA congratulates the newly appointed Board Members of the NSC

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) family congratulated the newly appointed Vice-President, Member Secretary and other members of the National Sports Council (NSC) a programme at the ANFA Complex today.

The government reappointed Ramesh Silwal as the Member Secretary of the NSC. Following the enactment of a new sports act, the Cabinet meeting held on July 27 appointed Silwal to the post for a term of four years. The Cabinet had also appointed Shiva Koirala as vice-president of the Council.

Addressing the ANFA family, Member Secretary Ramesh Silwal and Vice President Shiva Koirala thanked ANFA for congratulating them and also pledged support to ANFA for the development of football in Nepal.

The appointed members of the Council are: Rim Ranabhat, Indira Niraula, Gobinda Prasad Bhattrai, Arjun Bahadur K.C, Sampanna Shrestha and Subash Shrestha.
