Nepal U15 finish second in SAFF U15 Championship

Neal U15 lost 7-0 to India U15 7-0 in the finals of the SAFF U15 Championship at Kalyani Stadium on Saturday.

U-23 Men's Team downsized to 32 member

The Nepal national U-23 football team side have announced their 32-member squad for the South Asian Games (SAG).  

Head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan had called up a squad of 45 players in the provisional training camp.

32-member squad:

Khadka reduces squad to 32

Nepal women’s team Head coach Hari Khadka today downsized his provisional squad to 32 for the South Asian Games (SAG).

The squad will be reduced to final 23 members before the travels to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Nadezhda Cup in September.

Kalin announces final squad for the match against Kuwait and Chinese Taipei

Nepal national football men’s team head coach Johan Kalin has announced his final squad for the match against Kuwait and Chinese Taipei of the Asian Qualifiers FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Asian Cup China 2023.

Nepal will play Kuwait on September 5 in their opening Group B Qualifiers match.

Likewise, the team will challenge Chinese Taipei on September 10.

Biraj Maharjan was not a part of the team while Bimal Rana and Alan Neupane have also not been included.

Cutting two names, goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong and midfielder Rohit Chand replaces Neupane and Rana from his latest squad that travelled Malaysian to play Malaysian League champion Johor Darul Ta’Zim on August 26, 2019.

Nepal lose 1-0 to Malaysian Super League Champion

Nepal lose 1-0 to Johor Darul Ta'Zim FC in a friendly match at the Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Johor, Malaysia today in their build up game for the match against Kuwait on September 5 and against Chinese Taipei on September 10 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition.

JDT took the early lead on a goal by Nicolás Alberto Fernández in the 3rd minutes of the match.

Futsal Committee calls 37 players in the training camp

The ANFA Futsal committee on Sunday has announced the preliminary 37-men futsal players for the upcoming AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Qualifiers.

The Qualifiers is set to be held in IR Iran from 23-25 October, 2019.

In the qualifiers, Nepal has been grouped with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Eleven Futsal Level 1 certificate holding coaches selected the players from 5-days nationwide trails and selection procedure that was held in Bhatbateni Health Club, Chhuchepati. 

The ANFA Futsal Committee also has appointed Bishnu Gurung and Gaurab Basnet as the head coach and coach of the National Futsal team.

“ Only fit players will be given priority and hence the players will go under YOYO test after we start camp for the players,”’ said ANFA FUTSAL Committee Co-coordinator Dawa Lama.

“We have added five players in the option as the players are currently training with the National U23 team for the South Asian Games (SAG),” added Lama.
