All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has invited application from schools in the Kathmadu valley and Kavre district to take part in the Inter School City League Football Tournament.
Schools meeting the preset conditions from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kavre districts can apply for the tournament. The tournament has been planned at the end of November this year.
ANFA states the tournament can provide an opportunity for young footballers to showcase their footballing skills and design a path for a footballing career.
As per the conditions, the schools should have their own football ground which can hold home matches. Schools with a U-15 team with 23-30 members and a coach with 'AFC 'C' (Licence) Coaching Certificate Course' are required to apply for the tournament within 15 days of the publication of tournament notice from ANFA.
Province 2 Football Association has been formed under the leadership of Nepal Karki.
Karki was elected unopposed as the president of the newly fomed FA in Province 2.
Bijay Kumar Gupta was elected senior vice president while Ram Chandra Lama, Suman Kumar Shrestha, Amar Khawash and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha were elected as the vice presidents.
Likewise, Suresh Thakur amd Thakur Bahadur Susling were elected the general secretary and treasurer respectively.
The election was conducted successsfully in Rautahat in the presence of ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and ANFA Vice President Shixit Parajuli.
The ANFA has earlier formed football associations in Province 1 and 4.
The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has decided to cancel the SAFF Youth Competitions for 2020.
The SAFF today made a decision to cancel the youth competition after reassessment of the present situation in the region and following a discussion with all the Member Associations.
Three youth competitions were scheduled for 2020.
The SAFF's virtual meeting with all the Member Association in June settled to reassess the pandemic situation in September to see the possibilities of arranging at least two youth competitions in December 2020.
" SAFF has decided to cancel all the three youth competitions for 2020 owing the current situation," writes SAFF to all the MA's.
The SAFF had earlier postponed the SAFF Championship 2020 to 2021 in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held a physical discussion on the Online Reporting System with chiefs of departments of all seven province at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday.
ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice President Upendra Man Singh, chiefs of all four ANFA technical departments and department chiefs of all seven province were present in the meeting.
In his opening note, ANFA President Sherpa urged the chiefs to prioritize result-oriented works while using the system. He said ANFA was ready to lend any support regarding the system and asked the chiefs to become more technologically friendly. "The game of football has become more technical in modern times. We will fall behind if we don't use technology to our benefits," said Sherpa.
Department chiefs of the provinces said the system was fruitful to them and help produce quality players from grassroots level.
ANFA Vice President Upendra Man Singh spoke in the closing session.
It was the first physical discussion with provincial chiefs post the Covid-19 pandemic.
ANFA had earlier held virtual discussion with province level and district level coaches regarding the system.
