League Committee & Football Association formed in Gandaki Province

Gandaki Province League Committee and Gandaki Province Football Association has been formed in Kaski today. ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa attended the event as chief guest in the event. The event was also joined by representatives from eight DFA's. 

ANFA VP and chairman of ANFA Technical Committee Krishna Thapa and Dharma Singh Lamichhane (Kaski) were nominated as Coordinator and President of the League Committee and Football Association in Province 4.

FIFA/ANFA Refereeing Course Begins at ANFA Complex

FIFA/ANFA Refereeing Course begins at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato today.

The five-day course is being conducted by FIFA Referee Instructor Ahmad Khalidi Bin Supian and John Chia Eng Wah. The guest's educator is supported by the five-member referee instructor of ANFA.

A total of 31 referees are participating in the course.

"There is lot to think and plan on how to improve the quality of referees in Nepal. And the courses like this will help us to give full support and services to the referees," said ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa.

FIFA instructor John said," FIFA has always emphasized on one of the important pillar of development of the game. And this includes development of referees. FIFA and AFC has invested lot of resources in developing referee instructors and referees. And nowadays in modern football referees are more knowledgeable and more aware about what's happening in football and football world."

"There are too many referees in the developed countries and we need more in the developing countries like Nepal. We are looking forward to give you the support and help to develop the referee. And with the positive change in your federation and administration I believe that you are moving to right directions," concluded John.

FIFA Delegates visits Football Academy in Rautahat and Butwal

Karma Tshering Sherpa ANFA inspected newly build Women's Football Academy in Rautahat on 5 November, 2019.  The Academy build under FIFA Forward Program (2016-2018) is the country's first women's training academy. 

The delegations also witnessed a friendly match played among the local football playing girls in Rautahat. 

On the next day, the delegates visited Butwal Football Academy, which is renovated by the ANFA under the FIFA Forward Program.

ANFA National Technical Network Seminar begins at the ANFA Complex

The two-day ANFA National Technical Network Seminar 2019 began at the ANFA Complex on Sunday.

Coaches from all the province are attending the seminar which is aimed to update the coaches of the province and districts with their duties. 

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa gave the opening remarks and said, " Football is constantly developing all over Nepal and we are committed to offer our support and services to the coaches involved. "

" The duty of the appointed coaches is to ensure grassroots movements in their districts and province. We have to raise the football development activities smoothly and systematically across the country."

"Together we can strengthen the foundation and I wish all the participants a good luck for a successful seminar," said President Karma Tsering Sherpa.

ANFA Technical Director Garry Philips also took the stage, speaking about the seminar. " I am very glad to be in a country where football is the number one sports. It's wonderful to see your attendance and I will look forward to get know each of you in your areas with your roles. Hopefully we can work together for many good things," highlighted Phillips.

He was later joined by Upendra Man Singh, ANFA Vice President, Member of Technical Committee and Coordinator of Grassroots and Youth Development Programme and Krishna Thapa, ANFA Vice President and Chairman of Technical Committee who both underlined the importance of the seminar saying," Coaches are the crucial part in developing football in a country. We develop coaches and in return they develop players."

Norio Tsukitate, Academy Director of all the four technical centers in Butwal, Rautahat, Dharan and Kathmandu was also introduced among the delegates in the occassion. Norio will be appointed as ANFA Academy Director under JFA initatives on 13 November, 2019.

FIFA team visits Nepal to evaluate infrastructural development in Nepal

Theodore Giannikos, Director MA Service of FIFA and Price Rufus, FIFA Development Officer visited ANFA Complex, Satdobato today to evaluate the infrastructural development of the football headquarter of Nepal.

During the visit, operational meetings with the representatives from FIFA and ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, ANFA Vice President Shixit Parajuli and other ANFA members was held. The FIFA representatives also interacted with the newly appointed Technical Director of ANFA, Garry Philips.

The dignitaries will be traveling to Rautahat tomorrow to inspect the technical center build by ANFA. The project- Women's Technical Center Rautahat is funded by the FIFA.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa meets delegations of the US Soccer Federation

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa today visited US Soccer Federation and held a meeting with the delegations of the Federation, which was chaired by Brain Remedi, Chief Administrative Officer of the US Soccer Federation.  

The meeting took four key decisions. The decisions are:

1) The US Soccer Federation to take very important steps for the development of the Women’s Football in Nepal.

2) The US Soccer Federation will bring Scouting Workshop in Nepal to bridge the gap in recruitments of talented senior and youth players.

3) The US Soccer Federation is very positive to conduct coaching courses for the Nepalese coaches residing in the USA.

4) The US Soccer Federation is highly interested to promote the FIFA World Cup 2026 from the Mount Everest.

ANFA Referee Course begins in Dolakha

The All Nepal Football Association conducts ANFA Referee Course in Dolakha.

A total of 37 participants are participating the course that is being conducted by referee instructor Surendra Shikrakar, Kiran Giri, Sudish Pande and Om Nath Peupane.

The course will run till 3 September, 2019.

ANFA holds meeting with A Division Clubs to discuss about Club Licensing

The All Nepal Football Association on Sunday invited all the 14 ‘A’ Division Clubs to discuss about the progress Club Licensing for the year 2020.

In the meeting chaired by ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, the clubs agreed to submit required documents to be fulfilled in the CLAS by August 31st 2019.
