Foreigners ensure victory for Waling against Chandrapur

Metho Eludie Ruth hit a brace and Touta Ornella Evanick Noelle scored with a brilliant free-kick as Waling Municipality Syangja (WMS) defeated Chandrapur Municipality Rautahat (CMR) 3-0 in the National Women's League match on Tuesday. 

Noelle opened the scoring in the 37th minute through a free-kick before Ruth added second in the 45th minute. Ruth added another in the 53rd minute to claim three points for Syangja. 

Syangja move fourth in the table level on points with Nepal Police Club with eight points each but behind on goal difference. 

Chandrapur lie sixth with three points.

APF hit 22 past depleted Chaudandigadhi

Nepal Armed Police Force Club (APF) defeated Chaudandigadhi Municipality Udaypur (CMU) 22-0 in the National Women's League match on Monday.

Sabitra Bhandari scored 12, Anu Lama hit 5, Anita Basnet scored a hat-trick and Saru Limbu and Renuka Nagarkote scored one each in the big win.

Chaudandigadhi had fielded their striker Anjana Thulung between the sticks after injury to their regular goalkeepers in previous games.

APF remain on the top of the table with 18 points from six matches. Chaudandigadhi, defeated in all six games, remain in the bottom.

Army climb to second with comfortable win over Biratnagar

Tribhuvan Army Football Club (TAFC) moved onto second place after defeating Biratnagar Metropolitan City 7-0 in the National Women's League match on Monday.
Sharmila Thapa scored a hat-trick and Bimala Chaudhary hit two for the departmental side. Rashmi Ghising and Bimala BK also scored a goal each. 
Biratnagar lie two place below TAFC in fourth place after the defeat. 
TAFC coach Raju Tamang said they initially had problems with the midfield and could not score goals. "The first goal lifted our confidence. We were able to capitalize chances in the second half," said Tamang. 
Biratnagar coach Paras Chaudhary said they had planned to stop TAFC forwards from scoring but the early goal dashed their hopes. "We quickly conceded more goals after the first one. Our strategy did not work today," said Chaudhary.

7-day referee course concludes in Hetauda

A seven-day refereeing course has been completed in Hetauda on Sunday.

Twenty-one of the total 35 participants from Bagmati Province passed the course.

The programme was being organized by Bagmati Province Sports Development Council with technical assistance by ANFA and coordination by Makwanpur District Football Association.
