Defending champions DPR Korea qualified for AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Thailand 2026 in style after cruising 11-0 past Nepal in their Group A Qualifiers tie on Sunday.
DPR topped the group with their third win on the trot while Nepal finished with four points.
DPR Korea needed only three minutes to find the opener with Jon Il Chong beating the offside trap after collecting Ri Kuk Hyang’s through pass before setting up Ho Kyong to slot home from close range.
Ho registered her fifth goal of the qualifiers in the 12th minute with a neat lob over Nepal keeper Lila Joshi, before completing her hat-trick after converting Ri Ye Gyong’s cross with a header in the 24th minute.
Nepal fell further behind in the 37th minute after Ye Gyong nodded the ball down to an unmarked Ho for a simple finish before the DPR Korea No 10 scored her fifth with four minutes left in the first half with a close range header.
There was no respite for Nepal in the second half as the East Asian side came charging forward with Pak Ok I finding the net in the 48th minute after pouncing on a rebound from inside the box.
Choe Chong Gum added further gloss to the scoreline in the 54th minute off a corner with DPR Korea turning on the power in the closing stages to net through Jong Pok Yong (88th), Choe Chong Gum (90+2, 90+5) and Pak Son Gyong (90+7).

A late goal by Sukriya Miya earned Nepal their first victory in the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers campaign.
Both sides came into the tie in search of a win but it was Nepal who enjoyed the lion’s share of possession with Saudi keeper Fajar Sakkaf kept on her toes.
The West Asian side played in patches and came close at the half-hour mark with Maram Alyahya almost finding the target from distance.
Nepal’s aggression came to fruition after they were awarded a penalty only for Meena Deuba to be denied by the woodwork in the 38th minute.
Saudi Arabia almost found the back of the net four minutes from half-time after Lama Alshathry weaved her way into the box before shooting the ball over the bar from close range.
Saudi Arabia kept Nepal at bay for the most of the second half before Sakkaf was finally beaten in the 90th minute.
Deuba’s cutback into the box found an unmarked Miya, who converted coolly past the Saudi Arabia custodian to earn Nepal their first win.

Nepal began their campaign in the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers with a draw against Bhutan.
It only took Nepal 40 seconds to find the back of the net after Sukriya Miya’s lob into the box found its way to Senu Pariyar, who side-stepped Bhutan keeper Pema Yangzom before slotting the ball home.
Bhutan, however, battled back and levelled the score in the 18th minute after Namsel Wangzom played a neat pass to set up Kelden Wangmo, who struck with a clinical finish.
Neither side was able to break the stalemate in the remaining 45 minutes despite Bhutan applying pressure in the closing stages of the game as they settled for a share of the points.
Nepal will now play against Saudi Arabia next on August 6.
