Sports Academy Sanga defeat Jhamsikhel; Golbazar, Swoyambhu play draw

Golbazar Sports Club fought back to register a 2-2 draw through a last-gasp equalizer against Swoyambhu Club in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League 2024 on Monday.

Sugrit Magar gave Swoyambhu the lead in the 23rd minute of the match before Ranjan Pun doubled the lead in the 49th minute. Aasha Hang Rai halved the lead for Golbazar in the 55th minute and the equalizer by Sanam Thapa in the added minute of the game shared the spoils between the two teams.

In the other match of the day, Sports Academy Sanga labored to a 1-0 victory over Jhamsikhel Youth Club with a goal late on the match. Sajan Raj Gautam scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute to give Sanga the victory.

Sanga's victory over Jhamsikhel also concluded the first round of fixtures of the C Division. The second round of fixtures are set to begin from Wednesday.

Pulchowk defeat Samajik, Social Welfare romp to 5-0 victory over Manohara

Pulchowk Sports Club defeated Samajik Youth Club 3-0 while Social Welfare Sports Center Club romped to a 5-0 victory over Manohara United Youth Club in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League 2024 on Friday.

In the first match of the day on Sunday, Pulchowk scored three first half goals through Suman Shrestha, Shyrab Lo Tamang and Sagar Thing. Shrestha's goal came in the first minute while Tamang scored the team's second in the 17th minute and Thing's goal was scored in the 38th.

Samajik had two glorious opportunities to pull back through penalties in the 62nd and 75th minute but both the kicks were missed by Oshan Rai and Subash Gole.

In the second match of the day, first half blitz from Social Welfare including a hat-trick from Roshan Chhetri helped them to a 5-0 victory over Manohara. Social Welfare scored four goals inside nine minutes to blow Manohara away.  

Chhetri scored the team's first in the 34th minute which was doubled by Niroj Pariyar in the 39th. Sanjib Aryal scored a minute after Pariyar's goal before Chhetri scored his second in the 43rd. After a four-goal first half lead, Chhetri completed his hat-tric in the 80th minute to seal the commanding victory.

Bagmati make winning start; Raniban, Mahabir share points

Bagmati Youth Club defeated Sanepa Club 3-1 to begin their Martyr's Memorial C Division League 2024 with a victory.

In the match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday, Bimal Ghising in the 31st minute and Srijan Raj Gautam in the 60th minute gave two goal lead for Bagmati. Pemba Dorje Lama pulled on back for Sanepa from the spot in the 76th minute but their hope for a comeback took a blow when Amir KC scored into his own net to give Bagmati the 3-1 victory.

In the other match of the day, Raniban Sports Club and Mahabir Studies & Athletics Association shared points after a 1-1 draw.

Mahabir suffered an early blow when their goalkeeper Ashib Rai was shown a straight red for handling the ball outside the box. Raniban took the numerical advantage and led through Dhanraj Thapa in the added minutes of the first half. However, a penalty in the fourth minute of the added time helped Mahabir level the score and snatch a point from the match.

Pulchowk Sports Club will play Samajik Youth Club in the first match on Friday with Manohara United Youth Club facing Social Welfare Sports Center club in the second match of the day.

RC32 Football Academy wins as C Division begins

The Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League 2024 began at ANFA Complex on Thursday.

Minister for Youth and Sports Biraj Bhakta Shrestha graced the opening match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Minister Shrestha greeted with players and match officials.

ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co member Pema Dolma Lama, CEO Indraman Tuladhar were present to welcome the minister at ANFA Complex.

In the first match after the opening ceremony, RC32 Football Academy began the league with the 1-0 victory over Khalibari Yuwa Football Club. Babin Bohora scored the only goal for RC32 in the 22nd minute of the match.

Two matches will be played at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Friday with Sanepa Club facing Bagmati Youth Club at 1 pm and Raniban Sports Club playing Mahabir Club at 4:15 pm.
