Martyr's Memorial "A" Division League.

Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League, formerly known as the Kathmandu League Championship is the top division football tournament in Nepal organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Annually participated by 12 to 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League. The seasons run from two to six months with every team playing each other once while the top six teams reach the Super Six round and again play each other once. Currently in its 43rd edition, a total of 14 clubs competed for the league trophy. The 2076 season began on December 14 and came to an end on February 15.It is currently sponsored by Qatar Airways and thus officially known as the Qatar Airways Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League. Qatar Airways holds an extensive global sports port-folio, sponsoring top-level sporting events and some of the biggest football clubs around the world including AS Roma, Boca Juniors and FC Bayern Munich. As an official FIFA part-ner, Qatar Airways sponsors the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, reflecting the values of sport as a means of bringing people together, something at the core of the airline’s brand message - Going Places Together. In 1934, Prime minister Padma Shumsher started the Ram Janaki Football tournament with an objective of promoting the increasing public interest in football. The Nepali Police Force had initially monopolized the trophy for several years enjoying consecutive hat-trick wins. 

The All Nepal Football Association later received the trophy from them, continuing the tournament in remembrance of national martyrs. The trophy is presented today to the winning club of the Martyr’s Memo-rial League Tournament.The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) was formed in the year 1951, and with its establishment, the tourna-ment continued under new author-ity from 1973. Complying with other football power nation rules, Nepal made ANFA its base for selecting the national teams. Although the league struggled with postponement of participating clubs, financial and political problems, Martyr’s Memorial League has been able to promote the football culture in Nepal immensly and is still continuing to do so. Since the start of the league, 15 dif-ferent clubs have won the title in 41 tournaments. The first season of Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League 1954-1955 was won by Mahabir Club while Manang Marsyangdi Club have the most wins of eight seasons under their belt. The current champions of the league is Machhindra Club

Martyr's Memorial "B" Division League.

Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League is the second tier association football league of Nepali football league system after the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. The league is formatted as a single round-robin tournament with the top team getting promoted to the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League and the bottom two teams relegated to the Martyr's Memorial C-Division League. This structure has not remained constant however as the league structure is changed every year by the All Nepal Football Association.

Martyr's Memorial C-Division League is the third tier association football league of Nepali football league system after the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League and the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League. The league is formatted as a single round-robin tournament with the top team getting promoted to the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League and the bottom two teams relegated to the Martyr's Memorial D-Division League.
