Brigade Boys Club earned a last gasp win over APF Football Club in the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League 2021/22 on Sunday.

Suraj Gurung scored in the 91st minute to give Brigade Boys a 3-2 win.

Brigade Boys had taken the lead in the 11th through a free-kick by Dinesh Rai. Six minutes later Aashish Lama levelled the score for APF. Rai scored his second in the 65th minute but APF levelled again in the 77th through Bikey Tamang. Just when the game looked to end for a draw, Gurung scored in the added time to secure three points for Brigade Boys.

Brigade Boys coach Sanoj Shrestha said it was vital for them to win their first match. "It is always difficult to play the first match but both the team's played with great effort. We were poor in man-marking and hope to improve it in coming matches," said Shrestha.

APF's coach Kumar Thapa said they could not work according to their plan. "We were running randomly and our plan didn't work. We conceded goals we should not have conceded. But it is our first match and there are 13 more games to play," said Thapa.

Jawalakhel Youth Club will play against Manang Marsyangdi Club in the second match of the day.
