Khumaltar stun Jawalakhel, Sherpa edge Police

Bottom-placed FC Khumaltar stunned league leaders Jawalakhel Youth Club 4-2 in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League on Friday.

Jawalakhel could have stretched their lead at the top of the table but fell to surprise defeat to Khumaltar at ANFA Complex.

Stephane Samir Binong scored a hat-trick for Khumaltar in the win. Messouke Oloumou scored the other goal for Khumaltar. Binong opened the scoring in the 20th minute before an own goal from Rohit Subba gave Jawalakhel the equalizer in the 43rd minute. Binong, however, restored the lead in the added minute of the first half.

Binong's hat-trick goal in the 51st minute gave a two-goal cushion for Khumaltar before a late consolation from Jawalakhel's Binod KC in the third additional minute finished the game 4-2.

In the other game of the day at Dasharath Stadium, Himalayan Sherpa Club defeated Nepal Police Club 2-1. Abayomi Oluwaseun Fakunle's goal in the 14th minute gave Sherpa the lead before Saujan Rai's leveler in the 30th minute.

Amrit Shrestha scored in the 51st minute to secure all the three points for Sherpa.
