Church Boys go top with win over NRT

Church Boys United capitalized on Jawalakhel Youth Club's defeat to climb at the top of the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023 with 4-1 win over New Road Team.

Anjan Bista scored a hat-trick for Church Boys in the  win on Saturday.

The other two games of the day between Manang Marsyangdi Club and Satdobato Youth Club at Dasharath Stadium and Three Star Club and Friends Club ended goalless.

Church Boys took the lead at Chyasal Stadium through Sushil Shah's opener in the 40th minute. Anjan Bista then scored his hat-trick in the second half to give Church Boys the win.

Bista scored his first in the 52nd minute and added another in the 61st. He scored his third from the spot kick in the 85th minute. Dipesh Ale Magar scored a late consolation for New Road Team in the added minutes of the game.
