Anajan Bista's 63rd minute penalty miss proved costly as Nepal played out a goalless draw against higher-ranked Myanmar in the first friendly on September 8 in Yangon.

Nepal were awarded the penalty when Myanmar's Hein Phyo Win handled Bista's header in the box. Bista stepped to take the penalty but was saved by the legs of Kyaw Zin Phyo.

Gillespye Jung Karki and Hisub Thapaliya made their debut in national colours. Karki started the game while Thapaliya was brought into the field in the 83rd minute.

Both the sides missed chances in an all-equal match at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. The two sides will meet again on September 11 at the same stadium.
