ANFA marks International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Day program

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) marked International Women's Day with AFC Women's Football Day programme at St Xavier's football ground in Jawalakhel on Friday. The event was moved to Jawalakhel due to the ongoing SAFF U-16 Women's Championship match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

The programme was chaired by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and coordinated by Women's committee Coordinator Sarila Shrestha Maleku.

The event was marked with cultural dance, Zumba dance and a friendly football match.

ANFA President Nembang, Treasurer Rabindra Joshi, Ex-Co member and member of ANFA Women's Committee and AFC Women's Committee Maleku, among others, released ballons to begin the celebrations.

Members of Alive Fitness and Yoga Center performed a Zumba dance along with students from various schools in the programme.

ANFA President Nembang, Former national women's team captain Rama Singh addressed the programme.

ANFA also felicitated coach Ganga Gurung, former FIFA referee Asmita Manandhar and former player Niru Thapa during the occasion. ANFA staff Goma Mizar and Saraswati Pakhrin, who have been working in ANFA for the past 25 and 23 year were also felicitated for their contributions.

Members of the national women's team, national U-16 women's team and students from various schools attended the programme.
