Preparations Complete for ANFA Women's League 2081

Preparations for the ANFA Women's League 2081, set to kick off on September 1, are now complete. The opening match will see Koshi Province take on Waling Municipality at 3 pm at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

A press briefing held at ANFA Complex provided details on the league’s preparations. ANFA Ex-Co member and tournament coordinator Sarila Shrestha Maleku, Spokesperson Suresh Shah, and Competition Director Sanjeeb Mishra addressed media queries.

In addition to ANFA Complex, matches will also be held at Dasharath Stadium. Tickets are priced at Rs 100, but the opening day match will be free of charge. Hamrokhelkud will broadcast all matches live, having acquired the digital and broadcasting rights.

The league features ten teams: Koshi Province, Sudurpaschim Province, Chandrapur Municipality, APF Football Club, Tribhuvan Army Football Club, Sankata Football Club, Nepal Police Club, Karnali Province, Bagmati Youth Club, and Waling Municipality. The teams will compete in a single round-robin format over 45 days. The top five teams will advance to the Super League, which will be played in a double-round robin format. The top four teams from the Super League will then proceed to the Qualifiers, Eliminator, and Finals.

Prizes include Rs 1 million for the champion, Rs 500,000 for the runner-up, Rs 150,000 for the Fair Play Team, Rs 100,000 for the Most Valuable Player, and Rs 50,000 each for the Highest Scorer and Best Goalkeeper. The Player of the Match from each game will receive Rs 5,000.

The tournament has an estimated budget of Rs 22,468,698 (USD 172,836.14).
