APF Football Club claimed a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the ANFA Women's League match on Saturday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
Nisha Thokar gave APF an early lead with a well-timed header, but Army's Bimala Thapa equalized to set up a competitive contest. APF, however, took control late in the game, with Anita Basnet finding the net in the 85th minute and Preeti Rai sealing the win with a 90th-minute strike.
This marks APF's second consecutive victory in the final round against their departmental rivals, following their dominant 6-0 win over Nepal Police Club on Thursday.
The victory means APF will finish top of the table as the first leg of the Final Round of the League comes to an end.
