Nepal began their campaign in the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers with a draw against Bhutan.
It only took Nepal 40 seconds to find the back of the net after Sukriya Miya’s lob into the box found its way to Senu Pariyar, who side-stepped Bhutan keeper Pema Yangzom before slotting the ball home.
Bhutan, however, battled back and levelled the score in the 18th minute after Namsel Wangzom played a neat pass to set up Kelden Wangmo, who struck with a clinical finish.
Neither side was able to break the stalemate in the remaining 45 minutes despite Bhutan applying pressure in the closing stages of the game as they settled for a share of the points.
Nepal will now play against Saudi Arabia next on August 6.
