Defending champions DPR Korea qualified for AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup™ Thailand 2026 in style after cruising 11-0 past Nepal in their Group A Qualifiers tie on Sunday.
DPR topped the group with their third win on the trot while Nepal finished with four points.
DPR Korea needed only three minutes to find the opener with Jon Il Chong beating the offside trap after collecting Ri Kuk Hyang’s through pass before setting up Ho Kyong to slot home from close range.
Ho registered her fifth goal of the qualifiers in the 12th minute with a neat lob over Nepal keeper Lila Joshi, before completing her hat-trick after converting Ri Ye Gyong’s cross with a header in the 24th minute.
Nepal fell further behind in the 37th minute after Ye Gyong nodded the ball down to an unmarked Ho for a simple finish before the DPR Korea No 10 scored her fifth with four minutes left in the first half with a close range header.
There was no respite for Nepal in the second half as the East Asian side came charging forward with Pak Ok I finding the net in the 48th minute after pouncing on a rebound from inside the box.
Choe Chong Gum added further gloss to the scoreline in the 54th minute off a corner with DPR Korea turning on the power in the closing stages to net through Jong Pok Yong (88th), Choe Chong Gum (90+2, 90+5) and Pak Son Gyong (90+7).
