Last-gasp Bista salvages point for NRT

NRT forward Anjan Bista produced a moment of late drama at Dasharath Stadium, scoring deep into stoppage time to snatch a 1-1 draw against Shree Bhagawati Club on an eventful Saturday in the National League 2082.

The match appeared destined to end in frustration for NRT, who had dominated large spells but found themselves trailing to Bakhromjon Turgunpulatov's well-taken strike in the 66th minute. The Shree Bhagawati forward's goal had put his side on course for a valuable away victory, with the minutes ticking agonizingly down for the NRT faithful.

Just as the four minutes of added time were expiring, however, Anjan Bista rose to the occasion. The striker latched onto a final ball into the box and finished coolly in the 94th minute, sparking wild celebrations and ensuring NRT walked away with a share of the spoils.

Over at the ANFA Complex, Nawa Jana Jagriti Club and Satdobato Youth Club also played out a 1-1 stalemate in a tightly contested affair. Nawa Jana took the lead through Bikram Thokar's composed finish in the 26th minute, a lead they carried into the halftime break. Satdobato responded after the interval, with Arun Lama finding the equalizer in the 48th minute to ensure the points were shared in the capital.
