The national men's football team has returned home on Thursday after playing two friendly matches against Bangladesh.

ANFA Vice President Sixit Parajuli received the team members and officials at the airport.

Goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong will fly to India and join his team Minerva Punjab from Bangladesh and has not travelled with the national team. One official, who tested positive and will remain in isolation, has also not travelled.

The two friendly matches marked the resumption of football which was halted for seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Nepal lost the first friendly 2-0 and played a goalless draw in the second. Six players—Bikash Khawas, Arik Bista, Darshan Gurung, Tshring Gurung, Pujan Uparkoti and Sesehang Angdengbe—made their debut in the two matches.

Members of the national team will now be housed at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
