National team training begins for Bangladesh friendly

The national men's football team on Thursday began training at Dasharath Stadium as part of preparations for the two friendly matches against Bangladesh.

Thirty of the thirty-four players called up for the national team took part in the training. Four players tested positive for Covid-19 and have been sent in isolation facilities. The nasal and throat samples of the players were collected on Wednesday.

Bal Gopal Maharjan, who was given the responsibility of the national team in absence of head coach Johan Kalin, took charge of the training along with assistant coach Kiran Shrestha and goalkeeping coach Bikash Malla.

Bangladesh is hosting Nepal in two friendly matches on November 13 and 17.
