Nepal denied win after late Pakistan comeback

Nepal missed the chance to secure a valuable win as they were held to a 4–4 draw by Pakistan in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand.

Bikrant Narsingh Rana gave Nepal a dream start by scoring in the opening minute and added his second goal in the 19th minute. Jenish Rajapati extended Nepal’s lead with a goal in the 24th minute, while Suraj Gurung made it 4–2 in the 32nd minute, putting Nepal in a strong position.

However, Pakistan staged a late comeback with goals from Muhammad Ellham in the 25th minute, followed by strikes from Nisar Hussain in the 33rd minute, Asif Ahmad Chaudhry in the 34th minute, and Muhammad Hassaan Zafar Khan in the 37th minute to deny Nepal all three points.

Nepal will face Maldives in their next match of the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship.

Late equaliser denies Nepal win against India

Nepal played out a dramatic 3–3 draw against India in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand.

Bikrant Narsingh Rana gave Nepal an early lead in the 5th minute, but India responded immediately through Laltluangzela in the 6th minute. Amit Lama restored Nepal’s advantage with a goal in the 25th minute.

The match took a dramatic turn in the dying moments. After Anmol Adhikari pulled one back for India in the 39th minute, Nepal regained the lead through Bijay Shrestha in the 40th minute. However, moments after Saroj Tamang was shown a red card in the 40th minute, Nikhil Rajendra Mali struck in the dying seconds to secure a 3–3 draw for India.

Nepal will play Pakistan in their next match of the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship.

Nepal begin campaign with 2–1 win over Sri Lanka

Nepal made a winning start to their campaign with a 2–1 victory over Sri Lanka in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand on Friday.

Sri Lanka took the lead through Mohamed Kursheeth Mohamed Shajaan in the 10th minute. Nepal responded strongly as Saroj Tamang scored twice, finding the net in the 15th and 21st minutes to turn the match in Nepal’s favor.

Nepal will face India in their next match of the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship.

Nepal edge Bhutan 5–3 to finish campaign on a high

Nepal concluded their campaign with an entertaining 5–3 victory over Bhutan in the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship in Thailand on Sunday.

Sajina Koirala opened the scoring for Nepal in the 9th minute, followed by Anita KC in the 13th minute. Jenifer Rana continued her fine form with two goals in the 19th and 30th minutes, while Sushma Tamang added another in the 25th minute.

Bhutan responded with goals from Deki Lhazom in the 23rd and 26th minutes, while Pema Kuenzang Choeki scored in the 28th minute.

With the win, Nepal finished fourth in the overall points table, bringing their tournament journey to a positive close.
