Head coach Urjan Shrestha announced the final 23-player squad for the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifying on Thursday. After the SAFF U-17 Championship in September 2022, 30 players were invited to the closed camp on September 16.
Nepal finished the SAFF U-17 championship 2022 as the runner up after losing 4-0 to India in the final.
In order to compete in the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifying, the team will depart on Sunday.

Bangladesh national team has landed in Kathmandu on later Saturday night for the friendly against Nepal.
ANFA Executive Committee members Rabindra Chand and Purushottam Thapa welcomed the team at airport.
Nepal will play the international friendly against Bangladesh on September 27 at Dasharath Stadium.
Acting Head Coach of national football team Pradip Humagain has announced his final squad for the upcoming international friendly against Bangladesh to be played at Dasharath Stadium on September 27.
Humagain announced his squad at a press meet organized at ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Thursday.
Ashish Chaudhary and Hrithik Khadka have received first call up for the national side.
