AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John has congratulated ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai on his appointed to the post.
AFC General Secretary sent the congratulatory letter to Rai on Friday. "We extend our congratulation to you, on your appointment as the General Secretary of ANFA, in the confidence that you will take this responsibility with great energy and enthusiasm," stated the letter to Rai.
AFC General Secretary also assured that the AFC will continue to support and provide assistance wherever necessary for the development of football in Nepal.
South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has congratulated Pankaj Bikram Nembang for being elected as the President of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
In a letter on Friday, SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin extended his greetings and congratulation to President Nembang.
'I trust your knowledge, leadership, and experience will have a big impact on the development of our beautiful game in Nepal', the letter reads.
'I wish you the very best and every success for the challenges that lie ahead. I hope you continue to enjoy wonderful memories together as well and bring more success to Nepal football', Salahuddin stated in the letter.
Nembang defeated his opponent Karma Tsering Sherpa in the 21st ANFA General Congress on Monday to win the presidential election.
AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa has congratulated All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Pankaj Bikram Nembang on the latter's election as the President of ANFA.
In a letter sent on Friday, AFC President Khalifa said Nembang's election is a testimony of the faith and confidence the Nepali football family had in his abilities.
'Please be assured of my and Asian Football Confederation’s full support for your initiatives for football development in Nepal', the letter said. 'I look forward to working closely with you as we strive to further elevate our game in Asia and to meet you soon', stated the letter further.
The first meeting of newly-elected Executive Committee of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) appointed Kiran Rai as the General Secretary and Rabindra Joshi as the Treasurer of the association.
Both the names were proposed by President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and approved by the members. Rai was a former spokesperson of the organization while Joshi will continue in the post he held earlier.
The meeting also appointed Nabin Pandey as the head of ANFA's International Relations.
The meeting also thanked all stakeholders for successfully conducting the 21st General Congress.
