National League 2082 begins at ANFA Complex

The National League 2082 began on Wednesday, January 14, at the ANFA Complex, featuring two exciting opening matches.

In the first match, Friends Club defeated Kankrebihar Club 3–1.

Friends Club’s Khemraj Shrestha scored an own goal to give Kankrebihar Club the early advantage, but Prashant Laksam scored Friends Club’s first goal in the 45+2nd minute to level the match.

Prabesh Basnet then put Friends Club ahead in the 59th minute, and Ashish Chapagain sealed the 3–1 victory in the 90th minute.

In the second match, Shree Bhagawati Club and Church Boys United played out a 1–1 draw. Harihar Buda Magar put Shree Bhagawati ahead in the 45th minute, but Church Boys United’s Arik Bista equalized in the 65th minute.

Nepal beat Bhutan 4–1 to finish third in SAFF Futsal Championship

Nepal concluded their campaign on a high with a 4–1 victory over Bhutan in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand on Monday, securing third place in the tournament.

Jetsuen Dorji gave Bhutan an early lead in the 16th minute, but Nepal responded strongly. Bijay Shrestha equalized in the 21st minute, followed by Pemba Dorje Lama’s two goals in the 25th and 31st minutes. Saroj Tamang sealed the win with a goal in the 38th minute.

With this victory, Nepal claimed third place, ending their championship journey on a positive note.

Nepal bounce back with 4–1 win over Bangladesh

Nepal secured an impressive 4–1 victory against Bangladesh in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand on Saturday.

Lakpa Tamang opened the scoring for Nepal in the 14th minute, followed by Saroj Tamang’s strike in the 29th minute. Bangladesh pulled one back through Rahbar Khan in the 34th minute, but Nepal quickly restored their two-goal advantage with goals from Sanje Syangtan in the 35th minute and Bikrant Narsingh Rana in the 37th minute to seal the win.

Nepal will face Bhutan in their final match of the tournament.

Nepal fall 2–1 to Maldives

Nepal suffered a narrow 2–1 defeat against Maldives in the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship in Thailand.

Maldives took the lead through Abdulla Shafiu in the 23rd minute. Nepal responded almost immediately as Bikrant Narsingh Rana equalized in the 24th minute. However, Maldives regained the advantage when Mohamed Imran scored in the 33rd minute.

Despite Nepal’s efforts, they were unable to find another goal, and the match ended in defeat.

Nepal will face Bangladesh in their next match of the SAFF Men’s Futsal Championship.
