National Sports Council (NSC) has approved All Nepal Football Association's proposal to resume football training paving way for the friendly matches against Bangladesh national team.
Following the approval from NSC, the Nepali national team will now begin training after the Dashain festival as part of preparations for the friendly. Earlier, Bangladesh Football Federation had proposed to host two friendly matches with the Nepali men's national team during the FIFA window of November 11-19.
Football matches and training had been halted due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. National team players were scheduled to begin closed camp training from August 17 but the camp was cancelled after the qualifying matches of FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 were postponed.
