Final squad announced for AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers

Head coach Patrick De Wilde has confirmed the final squad of the Nepal national women’s team for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, set to take place in Uzbekistan from June 29 to July 5.

Young defender Pratiksha Chaudhary has earned her first call-up to the senior national team as Wilde named the 23-member squad on Friday. Nepal is placed in Group F alongside Laos, Sri Lanka, and hosts Uzbekistan.

Nepal announces final squad for SAFF U-20 Women's Championship

The final 23-member squad of the Nepal national U-20 women’s team has been announced for the upcoming SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship in Bangladesh.

Head coach Yam Prasad Gurung confirmed the squad on Monday. The tournament will take place in Dhaka from July 11 to 22, 2025.

Patrick De Wilde appointed head coach of Nepal women’s national team

Belgian coach Patrick De Wilde has been named the new head coach of the Nepal women’s national football team. He received his appointment letter from ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Thursday.

His tenure will last for one year.

Wilde, a UEFA Pro License holder, started his coaching career in 1999 in Belgium. He has worked with clubs in Ukraine, China, Austria, and Tunisia. He has also coached national teams, including Algeria, Hungary, and Lithuania. Most recently, he assisted China’s U23 team and was associated with Kathmandu Rayzrs FC in the Nepal Super League.

National U-20 women's team squad reduced to 30

National U-20 women's team head coach Yam Prasad Gurung has reduced his squad to 30.

Gurung had initially called up 40 players for the closed camp training.

The team will take part in the SAFF U-20 Women's Championship to be held in Bangladesh from July 11-22, 2025.
