Three Star Club victorious over Brigade Boys Club

Goals from Sushan Shrestha, Ananta Tamang and Waisu Hazmat earned Three Star Club a 3-1 victory against Brigade Boys Club in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League at Dasarath Stadium on Wednesday.

Sushant Shrestha's opening goal at 15th minute for TSC was a wonderfully placed goal from inside the penalty area. TSC doubled the lead at 41st minute after Ananta Tamang's header from inside the box on Mikchen Tamang's corner kick went straight into the post. Third and the final goal for TSC was by Wasiu Hazmat who chiped the ball over BBC keeper Bishal Sunar to get a goal.

Though BBC were 10 men down after a red card was given to Dipenk Raj Singh for a terrible challenge on Ashok Khawas of TSC, they came back with a goal at the end. The goal for BBC was by Roshal Rana Magar to a beautiful through ball by Uttam Gurung.

Kelme Man of the match was awarded to the TSC defender Ananta Tamang for his wonderful goal and the overall performance in the game.

Friends Club held Himalayan Sherpa Club to a goalless draw

Friends Club and Himalayan Sherpa Club played a goalless draw at Dasrath Stadium in the fifth round of ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League on Tuesday.

The match was a slow game with both teams unable to hold their possession. Friends Club had a chance in 43rd minute when Uttam Rai missed a clear shot from front of the post inside the penalty area. His shot went right over the crossbar. Himalayan Sherpa Club missed the chance to get a late winner when a pass from Tredev Gurung found Bhison Gurung just in the penalty spot. But Bhison's volley went over the post.

Late equalizer from Bimal Rana helps Manag Marshyangdi Club hold Macchindra Club to 2-2 draw

Manang Marshyangdi Club and Machindra Club had to share a point in a 2-2 draw game in the ongoing Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League at Dasarath Stadium on Monday.

The thrilling match ended with a clash between the players. MC were surprised with an early goal by MMC in the 2nd minute. MMC forward Femi Joshua Adewumi headed in an accurate cross from Anjan Shretha giving them the early lead. Though MC played well, they could not score a goal and so were behind one goal in the first half. Second half started identical to the first but this time MC scoring at the 46th minute. The equalizer came from Sujal Shrestha who calmly scored a goal to a nice pass from Somide Oluwawunmi.

But then MC took the lead at 81st minute after a blunder by MMC defence. The goal was a header by Somide Oluwawunmi. But the lead was shortlived when MMC equalized two minutes before the regulation time. Bimal Rana converted the left corner taken by Jagjeet Shrestha into the the net to cheer up the MMC fans in the stadium.

The match had a bad end to it when team members from both the team clashed. Security officials and policemen had to come into the field to sort the mess. The staduim was in turmoil. Referee took charge and gave the bench player Ashok Baral red card for the mess that was created.

Kelme Man of the match award for this game was presented to Somide Oluwawunmi of MC for his goal as well as his overall performance in the match.

New Road Team and Jawalakhel Youth Club play out goalless draw

New Road Team and Jawalakhel Youth Club shared a goalless draw in the fifth round match of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League on Monday at Dasarath Stadium. Both teams tried their best to score a goal. They both had equal possession of the ball. Rup Bahadir Lama of JYC had a chance to score at 30th minute but his right footed shot to the left bottom corner was saved by the NRT keeper, Ajit Prajapati. In the second half, NRT had a really good chance to score a goal from a freekick at 73rd minute.Captain Prakash Budhathoki took the freekick that was barely saved by JYC keeper Takendra Thapa. Thapa could not get hold of the ball so Jordan Jr Ndemba Owona (NRT) tried for a rebound but was caught offside. Kelme Man of the match award was presented to JYC captain Kuldip Karki for his wonderful performance in the match.
