Tusal share points with Boys Union, Bansbari secure thrilling win

Tusal Youth Club and Boys Union Club played out a goalless draw in the Martyr's Memorial B Division League 2081 on Wednesday, sharing points in their match at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

In the other game of the day, Bansbari Club secured their first win of the tournament with an exciting 4-2 victory over RCT.

Bansbari took early control, racing to a two-goal lead inside 25 minutes. Saroj Darlami opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and Bikey Rai doubled their advantage in the 25th.

RCT fought back strongly, leveling the match through Manjil Khadka and Sudip Lama. Khadka pulled one back in the 52nd minute before Lama's 74th-minute equalizer set up a tense finish.

However, Bansbari regained the lead in the 78th minute when Sangan Khand Thakuri converted a penalty. Bikey Rai then sealed the victory with his second goal of the match, ensuring all three points for Bansbari.

Shree Bhagawati edge Brigade Boys, Madhyapur secure first win

Shree Bhagawati Club continued their strong start in the Martyr's Memorial B Division League with a 2-0 victory over Brigade Boys Club on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Madhyapur Youth Association secured their first win of the tournament, defeating Jhapa Football Club 2-1.

In the first match of the day, Suleman Thapa Magar put Shree Bhagawati ahead in the 30th minute. They had to wait until the 84th minute to seal the victory, as Depesh Shrestha’s late strike ensured all three points.

In the second match, an own goal from Pema Tamang handed Madhyapur the lead in the 52nd minute. Jhapa fought back, with Pujan Rai equalizing in the 89th minute, seemingly salvaging a point. However, Sajin Thapa Magar’s dramatic goal in the third minute of added time secured Madhyapur’s first win while condemning Jhapa to their second consecutive defeat.

42 players finalized for the closed camp of U-19 team

Forty-two players have been called up for the closed camp of the national U-19 youth team for the upcoming SAFF U-19 Men's Championship.

Head coach Urjan Shrestha called up 42 players after a three-day selection programme held at ANFA Complex. Shrestha had initially called up 58 players for the selection.

The championship will be held in India from May 9 to 18, 2025.

58 players called up for U-19 national team selection

National U-19 men's team Head Coach Urjan Shrestha has named 58 players for the final selection of the squad for the SAFF U-19 Men's Championship 2025.

The championship will be held in India from May 9 to 18, 2025.

The selection process will take place over three days at the ANFA Complex, from March 23 to 25, 2025.

All players selected for the trial are requested to report to the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 8 AM, with the appropriate football kit.
