APF Football Club booked their spot in the finals of the ANFA Women’s League with a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the first Qualifier match on Saturday.
In a fiercely contested encounter at the ANFA Complex, Tribhuvan Army took an early lead in the 8th minute and held firm for much of the game. However, APF’s Rashmi Ghising turned the match around with two decisive goals in the final stages.
Ghising netted the equalizer in the 78th minute before completing the comeback 10 minutes later with her second goal, sealing APF’s victory.
With their place in the finals secured, APF will now await the winner of Monday’s clash between Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the second Qualifier.

Nepal Police Club relied on a dramatic late goal from Amrita Jaishi to edge Bagmati Youth Club 1-0 in the Eliminator match of the ANFA Women’s League.
With the stakes high and the loser set to crash out of the competition, Bagmati put on a resolute defensive display, holding the departmental side at bay for much of the game.
Just when the match seemed destined for extra time, Jaishi struck in the second minute of added time, finally breaking Bagmati’s resilience and securing Police's spot in the Qualifiers.
Nepal Police Club will now face the loser of the clash between APF Football Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the second Qualifier match, with a chance to earn a place in the finals.

APF Football Club edged past Tribhuvan Army Football Club with a 2-1 victory in the ANFA Women’s League, wrapping up the Super Five round on Wednesday.
Rashmi Kumari Ghising opened the scoring for APF in the 23rd minute, followed by Anita Basnet’s strike in the 38th minute, giving APF a commanding 2-0 lead. Tribhuvan Army fought back with a late goal from Amisha Karki, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their departmental rivals in what was their third league clash.
The two teams are set to face off again in Qualifier 1, with the winner earning a direct spot in the finals. The losing side will get another chance at a final berth by taking on the winner of the Eliminator match between Nepal Police Club and Bagmati Youth Club.
