Afeez Olawale Oladipo scored a hat-trick as Machhindra Football Club maintained pressure on leaders API Power Church Boys United with a 3-1 win over Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club on Wednesday.
In the match at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Olawale scored twice in first half and got another one in the second to take his total goal tally to 18 in the season leading the individual goal scoring charts.
Olawale gave Machhindra the lead in the 17th minute and added the second just before half time. He completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute before Jordan Pun Magar pulled one back for Satdobato in the 84th.
Machhindra now have 39 points and are three points behind leaders Church Boys. Satdobato meanwhile slip a place down to seventh in the points table.
In the other match at Chyasal Stadium, Three Star Club and Sankata Club shared points after a goalless draw. The draw means Three Star are now 10 games without a win in the league and stay at 11th in the points table. Sankata are a place below in 12th.

API Power Church Boys United maintained a four point lead over second-placed Jawalakhel Youth Club with a 4-1 win over APF Football Club on Tuesday.
Jawalakhel had earlier defeated Tribhuvan Army Football Club 2-0 to maintain pressure on the league leaders but Church Boys had the perfect response in the final game of the day.
A brace from Ananta Tamang and goals from Mausam Subba and Aashish Chaudhary gave Church Boys the win at Dasharath Stadium.
Subba opened the scoring in the third minute of the game before Tamang doubled the lead in the added minutes of the first half. Tamang added his second in the 55th minute after which APF pulled one back through Awas Lamichhane in the 83rd minute.
But Chaudhary scored one minute from time to give Church Boys the victory.
Earlier, a brace from Nkoto Synous Masoabi had given Jawalakhel the victory over Army.
Masoabi scored the first goal in the 56th minute and added another in the 79th.
Jawalakhel have 37 points from 23 games and are just a point ahead of Machhindra Football Club who play Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club on Wednesday.

FC Khumaltar defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-1 to ignite their hopes of escaping relegation from the Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023.
Khumaltar are still bottom of the league but are now just two points from safety.
Abayomi Oluwaseun Fakunle gave Sherpa the lead in the sixth minute of the game before Messouke Oloumou levelled for Khumaltar. Samir Binong then scored a spectacular to give Khumaltar the much-needed three points at Dasharath Stadium.
In the other match of the day, Nepal Police Club moved to fourth on the points table after a 2-1 win over Friends Club.
A brace from Anjan Rai completed the league double over Friends for the departmental side.
Rai scored in the third minute of the game before Bikash Thapa levelled for Friends. But Rai scored again in the 36th minute to secure the victory.
Friends Club are 13th after the defeat.

Machhindra Football Club, Tribhuvan Army Football Club and APF Football Club have been granted AFC Club License.
The First Instant Body (FIB) decided to grant the AFC Club License to three clubs.
The three clubs received the license for AFC Club Competitions for 2023/24. The license will be applicable for AFC Cup.
The clubs had also received the club licensing for the previous season.
