ANFA to run full-fledged physiotherapy and rehabitation program 

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) will operate a fully-fledged physiotherapy and rehabilitation program at ANFA Complex in Satdobato. 

The program will largely benefit the players by helping them to perform at their best and ensure their return to sports after injury layoff.

The program will also benefit anyone who wishes to receive the service by paying a certain fee. 

The programme will run by Navina Shrestha, a Gold medalist of Masters in Physiotheray and Avishkar Pudasaini, a physiotherapy graduate. Both Shrestha and Pudasaini have completed fellowship at Aspetar in Qatar.

Disciplinary Committee takes action against Sankata, Machhindra, Khumaltar and APF

The ANFA Disciplinary Committee has taken action against Sankata Club, Machhindra Football Club, FC Khumaltar, APF Football Club and officials from APF Football Club for various disciplinary breaches in the ongoing Martyr's Memorial A Division League 2023.

The committee fined Sankata Club Rs 10,000 for delaying the start of the match against APF Football Club on April 16 (Match 60). A dispute over goalkeeper jersey had delayed the start of the match by 26 minutes while also affecting the live broadcast. The committee also fined APF Football Club with Rs 5,000 for delaying the second half of the same match by two minutes. APF club official Jibesh Panday had entered onto the pitch resulting to the delayed restart of the match.

APF official Panday has also been suspended for eight matches and fined Rs 10,000 for manhandling fourth official Gyan Bahadur Moktan in their match against Machhindra Football Club on April 19 (Match 67). Panday had manhandled the fourth official after the match resulting in the action as per the FIFA Discipline Code Chapter (2), Section (1L) Physical.

The committee also fined FC Khumaltar with Rs 10,000 for vandalizing chairs in the dressing room after their match against Machhindra Football Club on April 11 (Match 51). Khumaltar had lost the match 7-3 against the defending champions at Chyasal Stadium.

Machhindra have also been fined Rs 10,000 for attempting to attack referees after their match against New Road Team on April 15 (Match 58). The match against NRT was drawn 1-1.

UEFA Assist Football for Women workshop begins

A four-day capacity building programme organized by ANFA in partnership with AFC and UEFA Assist programme has begun in Kathmandu from Monday.

The UEFA Assist Football for Women programme is being conducted at Hotel Himalaya in Kupondole.

The first two days of the programme will focus on building the capacity of women in football, helping them to develop their leadership skills and footballing career.

The first two days of the programme will be attended by women only with former players, referees, current players, and other stakeholders taking part.

The final two days will be attended by ANFA officials discussing the development of women's football with the UEFA experts.

The programme will be conducted by UEFA International Relations Project Specialist Chris Milnes and UEFA Assist experts Jules McGeever and Monika Staab.

ANFA bids farewell to U-17 national women's team

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has bid farewell to the U-17 national women's team flying to Jordan for the 2024 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers from April 26-30.

Former ANFA President and Honorary ANFA President Narendra Shrestha, ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co members Sarila Shrestha Maleku and Manish Joshi, Assistant General Secretary Damodar Bhattarai, Assistant Treasurer Purna Man Chitrakar were present in the farewell programme organized at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

Nepal are grouped against hosts Jordan and Iran in Group H of the tournament. Nepal will play its first match against Iran on April 26 followed against game against Jordan on April 28.
