C Div to begin from May 5, B Div date to be fixed in next meeting

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday held separate meeting with B and C division clubs at ANFA Complex.

The meeting with the clubs agreed to begin the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League from May 5, 2023. The meeting also agreed to fix the date of Martyr's Memorial 'B' Division League in next round of talks.

Representatives of C division clubs had taken part in the meeting. ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Ex-Co members Purushottam Thapa and Bikash Narayan Shrestha and Spokesperson Suresh Shah were present in the meeting.  

ANFA has also increased the preparation money for C division clubs from Rs 950,000 to Rs 1.1 million.

Pakistan national team arrive for Nepal friendly

The Pakistani national football team has arrived for the friendly match against Nepal on November 16.

The team landed in Kathmandu on early Monday morning.

Nepal will play the friendly at 5 pm on Dasharath Stadium. Tickets for the match have been fixed at Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.

The match will be broadcasted live by Kantipur Television.

SAFF U-15 Women's Champions arrive home

Nepali national U-15 women's team arrived home on Saturday after winning the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, Vice Presidents Birat Jung Shahi and Dawa Lama and other Ex-Co members welcomed the team at the airport.

Nepal drew 1-1 with Bangladesh and finished top of the table to win the regional championship.

FIFA MA Refereeing Course concludes

The five-day FIFA MA Refereeing Course has concluded on Saturday.

The course, which began from November 8, was conducted by FIFA RDO Mohamad Rodzali Bin Yacob and FIFA Referee Technical Instructor Sachiko Yamagishi. Forty participants took part in the course.

ANFA Vice President Deepak Khatiwada distributed certificates to the participants in the closing ceremony. The participants included Men's and women's FIFA Referee, FIFA Assistant Referee, National Referee and National Assistant Referee along with Local Instructor.
