Former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal extends congratulation to Ex Co

Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has extended his congratulations for the Executive Committee of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

Dahal met with ANFA Ex Co members at his residence in Khumaltar on Wednesday morning.

Speaking briefly to Ex Co members, Dahal said he would be happy to play a constructive role for the development of football. "I wish everyone elected the very best for your tenure and assure you my full support. I will also do everything in my capacity for the development of the game," Dahal said.

The 21st ANFA General Congress had elected the Executive Committee on June 20.

Prime Minister Deuba congratulates newly-elected Ex Co, assures govt support

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has congratulated the newly-elected Executive Committee members of All Nepal Football Association.

PM summoned the newly-elected team at his official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday and expressed his compliments.

During the programme, PM Deuba also assured of government support for the development of football in the country. "The government will always be on your side when it comes to working jointly for the development of the game," he said.

The 21st ANFA General Assembly had elected Pankaj Bikram Nembang as the President while Bir Bahadur Khadka was elected as the Senior Vice President.

Similarly, Dawa Lama, Birat Jung Shahi, Dipak Khatiwada and Dirgha Bahadur KC won the Vice President election. Sarila Shrestha Maleku and Pema Dolma Lama were elected as the Executive Committee members (women) while Manish Joshi, Anil Malla, Rabindra Chand, Bikash Narayan Shrestha, Bhojraj Shahi, Mahendra Chhetri, Purushottam Thapa, Ramesh Byanjankar, Maniraj Bista, Tikaram Lama and Bharat Budh Thapa became the members.

Referees Prajwol Chhetri and Kishan Yadav to officiate in U-20 SAFF Championship

FIFA Referee Prajwol Chhetri and FIFA Assistant Referee Kishan Kanahya Yadav will officiate in the upcoming U-20 SAFF Championship to be held in India from July 25 to August 5.

The two Nepali officials have been confirmed for the tournament by SAFF.

Chhetri and Yadav received their respective FIFA badges in 2021.

Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives will take part in the competition to be held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

FIFA congratulates ANFA President

Pankaj Bikram Nembang has been congratulated by the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) for being elected to lead the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, sent greetings and congratulations to President Nembang in a letter today. He also expressed his congratulations to the newly elected Sr. / Vice Presidents and Executive Committee members.

The letter says, "I trust your knowledge, leadership, and experience will have a big impact on the development of our beautiful game in Nepal."

President Infantino stated, 'I wish you and your team good luck and success for all the challenges that lie ahead, in creating and witnessing a lasting legacy for the future of football in Nepal.'

Nembang won over Karma Tsering Sherpa in the 21st ANFA General Congress held on 20th of June.
