Samajik Yuwa edge Sanepa Club, Manohara defeat Sanogaucharan

Bikash Darji scored the only goal as Samajik Yuwa Club defeated Sanepa Club 1-0 in the Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League on Friday.

Darji scored the only goal in the 79th minute.

In the second game, Anjan Limbu scored a hat-trick as Manohara United Club won 3-1 against Sanogaucharan Youth Club.

Sanogaucharan took the lead through an own goal by Jiyarat Shekh in the 27th minute but Limbu scored in the 44th, 73rd and 76th minute for the victory.

Samaj Kalyan Khelkud Kendra makes two wins in a row, Swoyambhu defeat Oasis Club

Samaj Kalyan Khelkud Kendra made two wins from two matches defeating Khalibari Youth FC 3-0 on Thursday.

Skipper Rupesh Adhikari gave the lead in the 40th minute and Sarad Rai added the second four minutes from time. Rakesh Bishwokarma scored the team's third in the added minutes of the game.

In the second match, Swoyambhu Club defeated Oasis Club 3-1. Kumar Dong scored in the 34th minute and Sabin Gurung added the second three minutes later for Swaoyambhu. Rajan Pun Magar gave some hope with a goal in the 68th minute for Oasis but Bikey Rai added a third in the 84th minute to ensure the victory.

Church Boys United start with win, Birgunj defeat Jhapa

Church Boys United started their Martyr's Memorial 'C' Division League match with a 3-1 win over Kshamadevi Planning Boys United on Wednesday.

Som Thapa, Saimon Limbu and Indra Jung Limbu scored for Church Boys while Krishna Giri pulled one back for Planning Boys. Som scored in the 52nd minute before Giri levelled three minutes later. Saimon then scored in the 88th minute and Indra added the third in the third minute of added time in the victory.

In the second match of the day, Krishna Shakya scored the only goal in the 53rd minute as Birjung Youth Academy defeated Jhapa FC 1-0.

Nepal win Three Nations Cup 2021 defeating Bangladesh

Nepal won the Three Nations Cup 2021 defeating Bangladesh 2-1 in the final on Monday.

Sanjog Rai and Bishal Rai scored for the hosts in an entertaining match at Dasharath Stadium.

Sanjog scored the first in the 18th minute when he drilled a powerful left-footed drive which went into the bottom left corner. Nepal grew in confidence following the goal and put on the pressure.

Anjan Bista saw the ball go over the bar when he tried to lift the ball over the keeper in the 20th minute.

Sanjog then provided for Bishal to double the lead in the 42nd minute. Bishal made no mistake with his right foot.

Bangladesh's Mahbubur Rahman pulled one back with a header in the 83rd minute. Bangladesh searched foe a second but a solid defensive performance by Nepal kept them at bay. 

Nepal's coach Bal Gopal Maharjan said the result was the hard work of the past 100 days. "The credit for this trophy goes to the player and the supporters. We made some changes in the team and strategy and it worked in our favour. We are happy to win," said coach Maharjan.

Defender Biraj Maharjan, who played his last match for the country, said his international footballing career was complete with the trophy. "I am happy to look back at my career. I had never hoped to achieve things I have achieved and I am glad to every football supporters for it," said Maharjan.

National team's captain Kiran Kumar Limbu said induction of new players with other experienced players helped them in the victory. "The young players are really good. I am happy to win my first trophy as a captain. I thank the supporters who gave us extra motivation to play," said Limbu.
