Armed Police Force defeated by ten-man Jawalakhel Youth Club

Jawalakhel Youth Club grabbed a win against Nepal APF Football Team with a score 1-0 in ongoing Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League at Dashrath Stadium on Thursday.

Although JYC had better passing in the first half, they could not get control of the ball. JYC's keeper Tekendra Thapa was shown a red card in second half at 57th minute for committing a handball outside the box . Even though JYC were one man down, they scored a goal at 71st minute by Fode Fofana. Fofana scored a one touch goal which leaving the APF keeper speechless. APF also had their fair share of chances, one of which was a one on one chance for Aashish Lama which was saved well by Takendra in 45th minute.

Kelme Man of the Match award is given to JYC's Fode Fofana for his overall performance.

Ruslan Three Star climb to third with a 3-1 win over Himalayan Sherpa

Ruslan Three Star Club advanced to third position after an easy win against Himalayan Sherpa Club. Three Star clinched a 3-1 victory against Himalayan Sherpa in the 8th round match of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial "A" Division League held at Dasrath Stadium.

Sushil Rai(TSC) gave his side an early lead in the 6th minute when he collected Lal Rammawia's chip pass and placed into the bottom left corner of the goal. Ananta Tamang(TSC) nearly doubled their lead at 11th minute with a close range shot but HSC keeper Kishor Giri made a brave save at near post preventing another goal. Stephane Samir(HSC) brought his team back in the game after he thumped in an unstoppable free kick at stoppage time of the first half. However, HSC's party didn't last longer as Sanjog Rai scored for TSC just after 1 minute in the stoppage time. Hazmat got on the scoresheet for TSC at 50th minute as he scored in 1 vs 1 situation with Kisor Giri.

The win moves Three Star to 3rd position with 14 points while Himalayan Sherpa remains at 11th position with 7 points. Three Star's forward Sanjog Rai won Kelme Man of the Match award for his brilliant display of game.

Ranjit Dhimal's stunner gives Machhindra 1-0 win over Nepal Police

Machindra Club (MFC) defeats Nepal Police Club (NPC) at eighth round of Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A Division League at Dashrath stadium on Wednesday.

MFC created many opportunities and had more possession on the ball on the first half but could not convert them into goal. Peter Segun (MFC) had scored a goal on the 47th minute of the game but he was found to be offside. Both the teams did not score any goal on the first half but MFC took the lead on the 54th minute of the second half scored by Ranjit Dhimal with a beautiful free kick at the right wing of the opposition box. NPC was pushing themselves harder to level the score and Tej Tamang (NPC) on the process was shown yellow card for his bad foul on Bishal Rai (MFC) at the 63rd minute of the game. Yogesh Gurung (MFC) was also shown yellow card for his bad tackle on NPC defence. NPC had a final opportunity to level the score on the 92nd minute of the game but the goal was found to be offside.

Ranjit Dhimal was declared as Kelme man of the match award for his all-round performance.

ANFA, the FA signs MoU, Nepal to play friendly with England C Team

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Football Association (FA) at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato today.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa and Head of National League System of the FA, Mr. Laurence Jones signed the agreement. As part of the deal, both the parties will organize a friendly football match between England C (Men's) team and Nepal National (Men's) team to be played at Aldershot Town FC, UK on 25 May 2020.

Nepal will also host the England C team to play a return fixture in 2021.

ANFA President said he is pleased to share the partnership with the FA. " We are pleased to share this partnership with the FA in order to develop our ties for the promotion and development of football. For us, it’s a good opportunity as well."

"I am also thankful to Min Gurung, Immediate Past President and Advisor of Sahara UK, Dhanu Thakali General Secretary of Sahara UK and Dr. Durba Bahadur Subedi, Nepal's Ambassador to the United Kingdom for their continuous effort to have signed the agreement," added ANFA President Sherpa.

Laurence Jones said, "The purpose of the C team is to give the young players chance to progress in the high level of English Football. England C team has a very important part in player development. We think we are going to have a very exciting fixtures in Aldershot. I know Nepalese Community in that part of England is already interested in the fixture. This agreement also will strengthen the existing relationship and friendship between ANFA and the FA. We look forward to welcome the Nepal National Team in England."

Commenting on the occasion, Andrew Shaw said, "We are delighted to announce the agreement with ANFA after a lot of discussion with the committee. We are also delighted to bring our team here in Kathmandu in later 2021."

Discussions for the collaboration began when ANFA president visited the UK in 2019. In which he discussed ways and means to help Nepal team play in UK.

Min Gurung, who joined the delegation for the signing ceremony said, " Nepal enjoys football. This is the first step and we hope that this will provide some rewarding opportunities in football development."
