Dhuku suffer fourth defeat in a row, Futsal 5 edge Sabin Memorial

Dhuku Futsal Hub suffered their fourth defeat in a row after going down 5-3 against The Rising Club Dharan in the 'A' Division National Futsal League 2078 on Tuesday.

Amit Lama, Abhay Rana and Prasiddha Magar scored for Dhuku in the defeat. Sudip Gurung, Hemanta Thapa Magar and Bibek Rai all scored once while Milan Rai scored twice for The Rising Club.

The Rising Club moved to second in the table while Dhuku remain seventh.

In the other match of the day Futsal 5 Dharan claimed a narrow 5-4 victory over Sabin Memorial FC. Bijay Shrestha and Prabesh Joshi both hit brace and Ranjit Gurung found the net once in the victory.

Abhinash Tamang had two to his name and Manoj Gurung and Anup Rana Magar both had one each for Sabin Memorial.

Futsal 5 are in fourth place while Sabin Memorial are a point below in fifth.

Sankhamul Futsal play Lumbini Futsal in the first match on Wednesday. Pointless Jharna Sports Club will face Sports Castle in the second and Prabhatpheri will take on Machhindra Sky Goals in the third match.

ANFA Academy Director Norio Tsukitate arrives

Academy Director of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Norio Tsukitate has joined office from Monday.

ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar welcomed Tsukitate at ANFA Complex.

Tsukitate is joining ANFA with help from Japan Football Association (JFA) for one-year term.

Prabhatpheri, Sports Castle and Futsal 5 register wins

Prabhatpheri Youth Club registered their first win of the 'A' Division National Futsal League 2078 after defeating Lumbini Futsal 6-1 on Monday.

Sports Castle Pokhara defeated Machhindra Sky Goals 8-3 to go top of the table and Futsal 5 Dharan overcame Jharna Sports Club 9-5 in other matches of the day.

Aashish Dangal, Dhiraj Joshi, Shrijesh Puri, Subil Shrestha, Santa Lal Gurung and Bishal Saru Magar scored for Prabhatpheri. Rupen Baraili scored the consolation for Lumbini.

In the first match of the day, four goals from captain Sandip Karki helped Futsal 5 to the win over Jharna. Ranjit Gurung scored twice and Nirav Khadka, Sujan Khadka and Bishwajeet Rai also scored one each for them. Narayan Thapa Magar scored a hat-trick and Ganga Gurung hit a brace for Jharna as their wait for first points continues. 

Khim Raj Gurung and Sumit Shrestha both scored doubles and Kishor Gurung, Dipesh Ghale, Bijay Gurung and Bhison Gurung also got into the scoresheet for Sports Castle's win over Sky Goals.

Manoj Rai and Roshan Adhikari scored for Sky Goals while Yogesh Gurung scored an own goal to make it three for Sky Goals.

There will be two matches on Tuesday with Dhuku Futsal Hub taking over The Rising Club Dharan and Sabin Memorial FC Pokhar face Futsal 5 Dharan.

Ghalan, Tamang score in Oman defeat

Ayush Ghalan and Ananta Tamang scored as Nepal lost 7-2 against superior opposition Oman in a practice match in Qatar on Sunday.

In the match played at Qatar University Football Ground, Tamang scored the first goal for Nepal as the first half ended in a 2-1 scoreline.

It is the first time Nepal scored twice against Oman having lost all of their previous meetings scoring just one goal.

The national team is currently in closed camp preparations in Doha, Qatar before leaving for Maldives to begin their SAFF Championship campaign. Nepal will play its opening match against hosts Maldives on October 1.
