ANFA, APF agree to work together for football development

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Armed Police Force (APF) have agreed to work together for the overall development of football in the country.

During a programme at APF headquarters in Halchowk on Sunday, the two sides agreed to work in tandem towards the growth of grassroot level, youth development and capacity building of the game.

ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa said the football governing body was focusing on youth development to ensure a better future of Nepali football. "We have forwarded plans to make our youth system better. It will ultimately help in our goal to develop Nepali football," said Sherpa.

ANFA Vice President Upendra Man Singh presented the plan during the programme.

Also speaking at the programme, APF Inspector General (IG) Shailendra Khanal said they were very positive towards the plan presented by ANFA towards developing football in the country. He said APF would be happy to make a contribution towards the development of Nepali football in the country.

ANFA referee course held in Dolakha for Bagmati Proivnce referees

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held ANFA Refereeing Course 2019 in Charikot, Dolakha for Bagmati Province referees. The course was organized from September 27- October 3. A total of 37 participants took part in the course.

The seven days course was organized by technical instructors Surendra Shikrakhar and Sudish Pandey. Fitness sessions was organized by Kiran Giri.

ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar graced the closing session He hoped the referees were acquainted with the necessary skills and techniques after the completion of the course.

Thirty-four participants who fulfilled the criteria of the course and passed the tests received the ANFA referee badge.

Second phase review of Online Reporting System concludes

The second phase review on the Online Reporting System has concluded after the review of Province 5, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province on Saturday.

Provincial chiefs and district coaches from Province 5, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province were present in the discussion. ANFA President Karma Tsering Sherpa, Vice President Upendra Man Singh, General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar and chiefs of ANFA departments were also present in the review.

District coaches lamented on the current situation due to the pandemic and lack of physical activities in the districts. They said players training was being conducted on only few districts adopting necessary safety measures and maintaining social distancing. Coaches said they were now focusing on organizing trainings through online system.

ANFA President Sherpa said coaches have to understand the importance of the system and work accordingly. "It is important we conduct necessary activities through online system and help move Nepali football ahead. We should improve our technical aspect of the game and it starts with districts," said Sherpa. Sherpa said ANFA was ready to lend any support to the district coaches to help them regarding the use of the system.

Vice President Singh urged the coaches to seek support from their colleagues and seniors regarding the use of the system. Singh said the system had great potential to unearth footballing talents from grassroot level. General Secretary Tuladhar said coaches should be technologically friendly and help players with online training skills when football is being halted. Tuladhar said coaches should adapt themselves with the ongoing difficult period and come up with various techniques to cope with them.

ANFA's Head of Elite Youth Nabin Maharjan hosted the online programme.

ANFA Technical Department had hosted the review for Province 1 on Wednesday, Province 2 and Gandaki Province on Thursday and Bagmati Province on Friday.

Annual ANFA refereeing course organized for Province 2 referees

Annual ANFA refereeing course organized for Province 2 referees 

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized the yearly ANFA Referee Course 2019 in Siraha district.

The programme organized for referees from Province 2 was conducted from June 2-8 with cooperation and support from Siraha District Football Association.

Siraha Municipality Mayor Ashweshwor Prasad Yadav addressed the opening session welcoming the participants and the officials for the course. Mayor Yadav also addressed the closing session and expressed their desire to host such courses in the future. He thanked ANFA for successful completion of the course.

Twenty-seven participants from Bara, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Parsa, Rautahat, Saptari, Sarlahi and Siraha took part in the course. Sixteen participants who passed the course were given ANFA refereeing badge.

The course was conducted by technical instructors Shree Ram Ranitkar and Gajendra Man Singh. Sailesh Joshi organized the fitness session and Rojen Shrestha assisted during the course.
