Karki Most Valuable player, Samajik Youth Fair Play team

RC 32 Football Academy Rohan Karki has been named as the Most Valuable Player of Martyr's Memorial C Division League 2024. Karki also won a cash prize of Rs 50,000 with the award.

Social Welfare Sports Center Club's Roshan Chhetri won the Highest Scorer award. Chhetri has scored 12 goals in the tournament. Champions Bagmati Youth Club's stopper Anish Mahato won the Best Goalkeeper award.

Both Chhetri and Mahato won Rs 35,000 each for their respective awards.

Samajik Youth Club won the Fair Play Team of the tournament and won Rs 50,000.

Bagmati crowned C Division champions, RC 32 finish second

Bagmati Youth Club have been crowned the champions of the Martyr's Memorial C Division League after playing a goalless draw with Pulchowk Sports Club at ANFA Complex on Wednesday.

Another title contender RC 32 Football Academy lost 3-2 to Sanepa Club at Army Physical Training and Sports Centre in Lagankhel.

Bagmati's match against Pulchowk was largely uneventful at ANFA Complex.

In the match at Lagankhel, Bibek Santoshi gave RC 32 the lead in the 10th minute of the match. Samvrant Singh Dangol leveled for Sanepa in the 36th minute before Pemba Dorje Lama put them ahead in the 58th. Heman Limbu equalized for RC 32 but Khem Raj Tamang's scored in the 89th minute of the match to win the match for Sanepa.

Champions Bagmati also won the cash prize of Rs 1 million while runner-up RC 32 took home Rs 700,000. Third-placed Pulchowk won Rs 400,000.

Nepal denied victory by last-gasp Yemen goal

Yemen scored in the final few minutes of the match to deny Nepal the victory in the second round World Cup Qualifiers match in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

The match started with Yemen taking an early lead when Nasser Ahmed Al-Gahwashi successfully converted a penalty in the ninth minute, following a foul committed by Manish Dangi inside the box. However, Nepal swiftly responded, with Sanjeeb Bista equalizing in the 22nd minute.

Gillespye Jung Karki's header in the 66th minute sparked hopes of victory for Nepal. Yet, with just five minutes remaining, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Dahi's goal leveled the score, dashing Nepal's chances of securing the win.

Captain Kiran Kumar Limbu celebrated his 100th appearance for the national side, marking a remarkable milestone in his career. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and Ex-Co member Bikash Narayan Shrestha honored Limbu with a special memento to commemorate the occasion.

Head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese had handed over the captain's armband to Chemjong on his special appearance.

Roshan Chhetri scores five to rout Jhamsikhel

Social Welfare Sports Center Club's Roshan Chhetri scored five goals as the club defeated Jhamsikhel Youth Club 6-2 in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Tuesday.

In the only match of the day at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Chhetri put Social Welfare ahead in the ninth minute of the match. His second came in the 19th minute. Dikesh Lama made it 3-0 in the 28th minute before Chhetri completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute. Bibas Limbu pulled one back for Jhamsikhel but Chhetri scored his fourth, team's fifth, in the 80th minute before completing hte rout in the 83rd.

Om Dhami's goal two minutes from time only proved to be the consolation for Jhamsikhel.
