Sanga, Swoyambhu share spoils; Golbazar downed by Samajik Youth

Sports Academy Sanga and Swoyambhu Club played a goalless draw in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Monday.

The second match of the day between the two sides was largely uneventful.

Samajik Youth Club defeated relegated Golbazar Sports Club 2-1 in the first match of the day at ANFA Complex.

Basanta Bahadur Rana gave Samajik the lead in the 32nd minute before Bijay Dong doubled it in the 44th. Rewaz Basnet pulled one back for Golbazar in the 63rd minute but the team was unable to avert defeat.

Mahabir defeat Manohara, Khalibari edge Raniban

Mahabir Studies and Athletics Association defeated Manohara United Youth Club 3-1 in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Sunday.

In the first match of the day at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Mahabir's Shiva Prasad Chaulagain gave the team lead in the 10th minute. He doubled it in the 20th minute.

Suraj Tharu made it 3-0 in the added minutes of the game before Manohara pulled one back through Sanjaya Shrestha in the 69th minute.

In the other match of the day, Sanu Kanchha Tamang's solitary goal for Khalibari Yuba Football Club in the 19th minute saw off Raniban Sports Club.

ANFA remembers former acting President Shrestha on ninth death anniversary

All Nepal Football Association has paid homage to the former acting President Lalit Krishna Shrestha.

A special programme was organized at ANFA Complex to mark the ninth death anniversary of Shrestha. Shrestha's spouse Nilu Shrestha, ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, and the football fraternity paid floral tribute to his statue at the ANFA premises.

Then ANFA acting president and Three Star Club President Shrestha was electrocuted at his home in Bhaisepati on this day in 2015.

AFC C Diploma Coaching Course begins in Bara

The AFC C Diploma Coaching Course kicked off in Simara, Bara on Monday, organized by the Bara District Football Association with support from Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan City.

Ram Chandra Lama, President of Bara DFA, along with Shivji Prasad, Head of the Social Responsibility Department of Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan, expressed confidence that the course would offer invaluable insights into the game for all participants.

Sanjeet Singh, Head of Coach Education, leads the course, with assistance from Chet Narayan Shrestha.

The course delves into match analysis, serving as the cornerstone for our session planning. Emphasis is placed on identifying football challenges or opportunities, defining these issues, and crafting training sessions to aid players in recognizing and addressing them. Twenty-four coaches hailing from various districts of Madesh Province are actively participating in the course.
