Khalibari escape relegation with victory over Jhasikhel, Bagmati close to promotion

Khalibari Yuba Football Club secured their C Division status for next year with a 2-0 victory over Jhamsikhel Youth Club in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Sunday.

Bagmati Youth Club neared promotion after a victory over Sports Academy Sanga with the similar scoreline.

In the first match of the day Khalibari scored twice in two minutes to secure the victory.

Manish Gurung scored the team's first in the 10th minute before Sandesh Chaudhary added a double two minutes later.

Bagmati also won their match through a brace from Raj Bhusal. Bhusal scored his first in the 15th minute of the match before he added his second in the 24th minute.

Bagmati will now have to wait for the result of Pulchowk's match against Sanepa Club in the 12th round to be assured of promotion. Bagmati will be promoted if Pulchowk fail to win the match against Sanepa.

Golbazar, Raniban misery continues despite draws

Golbazar Sports Club and Raniban Sports Club plunged deep into relegation crisis despite drawing their respective games of the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Friday.

Both the clubs began the 11th round of the league with draws.

Raniban played a 1-1 draw against Manohara United Youth Club while Golbazar also drew their match against Sanepa Club with the same scoreline.

Sanjay Shrestha had given Manohara the lead in the 32nd minute in the first match of the day. Raniban had to wait until the added minute of the game to level the score through Sandip Bahadur Singh's penalty.

In the second match, a seventh minute strike by Nirajan Jung Shahi gave Sanepa the lead against Golbazar. Golbazar then levelled through Sujan Kumar Pulami's penalty in the 28th minute of the match.

RC32, Pulchowk share points after entertaining draw

RC32 Football Academy shared points with Pulchowk Sports Club after a 2-2 draw in the Martyr's Memorial C Division League on Thursday.

In the only game of the day, RC32 squandered their two-goal lead against Pulchowk and had to be content with a single point from the match.

Kismat Limbu in the 31st minute and Aashish Lawati in the 44th minute had give RC32 a two-goal advantage in the first half.

Pulchowk, however, improved in the second half and halved the deficit through Shyrab Lo Tamang's strike in the 48th minute. An unfortunate own goal by Sanjaya Subba helped Pulchowk get back into the game and secure at least a point from it.

Bagmati defeat Social Welfare to boost promotion hope

Bagmati Youth Club gave a massive boost to their chances of promotion securing a late victory over another promotion hopeful Social Welfare Sports Center Club. Bagmati defeated Social Welfare 2-1 at ANFA Complex in Satdobato.

Srijan Raj Gautam gave Bagmati the lead in the fourth minute of the match before Roshan Chhetri levelled for Social Welfare in the 35th minute. Raj Bhusal then secured all three points for Bagmati with the winner scored in the eighth minute of the added time of the match.

In the other match of the day, Samajik Youth Club and Mahabir Studies & Athletics Association played a 1-1 draw. Subash Gole's lead for Samajik in the 37th minute was cancelled out by Aman Rajbahak's strike in the 78th minute of the match.
